Insanity Challenge

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I'm starting Insanity on March 15th and I'm so EXCITED!!!!

If you don't know much about Insanity or haven't seen the Beach Body infomercials, it's an intense 60 day cardio workout that has amazing results!

I'll document my progress in this thread.

OMG I saw the informercial on that and wanted to get it!!! You will have to keep us posted on how you are doing!

I got one of their original products P90 (not P90X) and I always seem to lose weight when I do that several times a week.

OMG I've seen these infomercials and they scared the bejeeeezus out of me LOL! Please post a review next week--would love to know how intense it is!

I am breaking down and buying the Ab Coaster. I am getting a ton of cardio in, but my belly is just ridiculous and the only thing right now keeping me from moving down to the next size.....

I was thinking of trying hip hop abs too. It sounds like you recommend it LOL! Wow, 4 inches!!!!

Good luck as you embark into Insanity ;-)!

Hip Hop Abs is So much fun :frown: It's like dancing in the club, but the results are lost inches and a strong core :frown:

Hi Desi!

So how are you doing with the workouts??? I would love to hear how you are doing?

My husband and I started Insanity yesterday!!! Wow it really does kick butt!! I think of myself as being in okay shape because I have been doing bootcamp style workouts for over a year now but this workout was sooo fast and I really have to push myself. My husband thought he was going to get sick and he drank too much Water. But we pushed through and felt great for finishing the first dvd. I need to lose about 20 pounds to get to my goal. I was banded in Dec 08 and have been on a plateau for a few months now.

Would love to share the Insanity experiences with another bandster.

Michele

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
