Wide calf boots? Help please!

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone from the US could give me advice on any shoe stores/department stores that sell boots that are wider than average around the calf area?

In Australia I find that boots never zip up over my hefty legs. I'm going to the US (Indianapolis and NYC) in two weeks and think I will need some boots given the recent snow. I think it might be cheaper to buy them in the US than in Australia, but I don't know where to start.

Any help would be much appreciated!

ps. If it helps, I would prefer leather boots just below the knee in black with a small or no heel. Similar to pic attached.

I'm not sure if I'm too late with this post, but Torrid is a plus size store in US and they sell wide calf boots and some really hot wide heels. The website is torrid.com. Also try Onestopplus.com

I got some killer sexy black boots with heels from lanebryant.com about a year ago - I call them my "hooker boots!"

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
