Is it normal to feel the lap band inside of you? I can feel mine and thought I'd ask to see if anyone else can feel it..

The only time I feel the band is when I'm receiving a fill and for a couple of days after that. It feels like squeezing. Hope this helps.

I can't feel mine. I had one fill and felt a "tightness" within but can't feel the band at all.

I cant feel it but touch but I "feel" it every moment since my last fill. I feel the tightness not the band itself.

Is it normal to feel the LAP-BAND®® inside of you? I can feel mine and thought I'd ask to see if anyone else can feel it..

I felt mine after the surgery for a couple for weeks...especially when I would move.

It was weird and I didn't like it.

But now I don't feel it at all.

My port is a little sore once in awhile, but that's it.

I've read that once it scars in place you stop feeling it.

I feel it in the morning when I first wake up. After I have some Fluid and move around the sensation goes away.

I don't feel it at all, not right after surgery, and not during my first fill either. The only time I even know its there is if I actually eat something that doesn't go down well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
