I'm down to 226 from 231!!! Woot woot!!! I went for my 1st post-op follow up appt. last week, and my doc released me for walking. WAHOOOOO!!!! I never thought I'd be so excited about that!!

They also told me to increase my calorie intake to at least 800. I was only getting 300-400 a day (if I was lucky), and while it wasn't intentional, it was stalling my weight loss. Plus, I've actually found a Protein shake that doesn't make me gag. So...

protein + increased calories + more weight loss even before 1st fill + ability to exercise = 1 happy camper!!!!!

Hey everyone you are doing great. I signed up but can't find the chart. (Was it a different Easter Challenge?) Any way, I only get on the scales when I go to the Doctor. I am down 3 pounds. Who Hoo!!!

Sounds like most everyone is doing great. Sorry for the Alien erosion.

If anyone can tell me where to find the chart I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Hello all!

My weight loss has been stalled for awhile now and I am highly motivated by challenges. I wanted to see if anyone wanted to join me in losing weight by Easter. My goal is to lose 30 lbs. :scared2: I'm currently at 221-223 depending on the day. It would be awesome to be in "Onederland." Easter is on 4/4/10 and I am eager to meet my goal.

I'd love to have you all join in. Anyone with me? :)

I'd love to join in on this challenge. It's always good for motivation. With Easter a mere month away I am sorta of on the late train here but count me in. My goal is 7 pounds. I am currently at 192 (per my doc and home scale...had an appointment yesterday) I would love to be at 185 by Easter.

I am down to 154, I lost 3 pounds this week but I had been too tight for 10 days and could hardly eat! (not recommended, too much pain for 1 extra pound)

Hey Guys! It has been one heck of a week. I did lose 3 lbs this week and I'm thrilled with that!! BUT... I also found out that I have Diverticulitis. It's a digestion disease, so needless to say, not eating anything solid definitely attributed to the 3 lb weight loss. I hope it's easier to lose the weight next week, but I'll take it as it comes!

Hi All,

This is my first challenge since I was only banded in Jan. I am revising my goal since I already met my original goal!! I under estimated the effectiveness of this tool. I have no idea how much I can lose by Easter, but I can't wait to find out.

Hi Leigh, Or others with similar situation..

Could you explain how you were hurting. I've been hurting since by last fill on Tuesday..talked to the nurse twice..I'm four hours away from my doctor. Did you land up getting a bit unfilled..? Or was it swelling that subsided?? Thanks for your help..I'm pretty concerned.

Thanks POPPYRED

I waited 10 days, everything I ate was getting stuck, plus it took me an hour to finish a Protein Shake, I was only able to get 500 calories a day max. Then it started to get worse (due to swelling and throwing up) and on the day before my unfil I could barely Drink 2 Protein Shakes. I live 2 hours from my dr as well. So I finally went back and she took out .3 and I felt much better. The fill that caused the problem was .7, I am a little loose now but a little loose is way better than a little tight. On the day of my unfill I forced down a shake, it took about an hour and then I drove to Dallas, (2 hours), then waited for 30 min (I was early) and still my stomach was just gurgling continuously. When she took out the Fluid, she told me to stand up so I could drink some Water and I felt the Protein shake leave my stomach, that was 11:30 and I had finished it at 8. So if a protein shake stays in your stomach for 3.5 hours that is too tight. I gurgled non stop during this time, I always gurgle some but my husband couldn't sleep because when I laid down my stomach made so much noise. I hope this helps..

I want to join in! I found the Excel chat and am going to add myself to the bottom, with my weight from March 5th since I see that y'all are weighing in on Fridays. Stoked to be part of a challenge!! My goal is to be 288 by Easter, which will be a 50 pound total weight loss for me! :smile2:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
