I'm not sure how I feel about naming it, but if I was to name it, I think I would call it 'Holden'. That was on my short list of names I wanted to call my son. And, I think of the band as HOLDing me iN from eating too much so that seems fitting. LOL

Unless I do something kind of dumb, like continuing to eat when I can feel things aren't moving well...

I sooooo HATE it when I do that!!

Part of the reason I started this thread was to see if anyone thought maybe naming their band could lead to over eating or something.

By giving an alter ego to an inanimate object. In this instance you have accepted the blame and outcome for the action of not stopping when you feel things not moving.

If I blame it on Bandit, might I continue to eat? At this point in the band game, I will not, because I KNOW I cannot eat when I feel it.

Just curious and rambling.....

Ha! Hilda is perfect. Now you need one of the PBS "She who must be obeyed" t-shirts

Mine is named The Governor. It's kind of fun to talk about The Governor--although it would probably be even more fun if I lived in a different state!

Hahahaha!! I was laughing hard when I saw this thread. I soo named my band the first week I had it. I named Mine Pancho. It just sounded like a good name. My husband thought it was silly, but when something doesn't sit right in my tummy I always say "Aye, Pancho why do you do this to me." My husband finds it amusing. LOL

he he he! I thought about Pancho! Also Paco, but we have two Chihuahuas in the neighborhood named Paco, too confusing!

I never thought about naming the port. Will have to ponder that one.

I love the Ben & Jerry combo!!

Zippy is my band, because I think of her as a zip tie, due to the fact that when I get my fill it is pulled tighter.

Zap is my port, due to the fact that she must be zapped with saline to give me a fill. Once she is zapped, the weight starts dropping again, and zippy and I are happy.

My band is Lucy. It's a nice discrete way to let my husband know I'm full or hungry just by saying "Lucy is talking to me." (Although I just realized people around me may think I'm hearing voices.) My husband even calls it Lucy!

My port is Ethel. Good pair and they keep things entertaining, never know what to expect from them - the same as the TV duo.

Steve killed me - the people who live behind us have a dog named Steve!

Still laughing at Ben and Jerry - think I would have ice cream on my mind constantly if I had those names!

My best friend said I should name my band Larry for the Sit'n'sleep commercials. If anything ever gets stuck, or I hurt for any reason, I can say, "You're killing me Larry!" (Fortunately, he's been a good boy!) So I gave him a wife, Patty. My port.

Debbie

My bands name is "squishy" (Little Nemo is one of my favorite Disney Movies and Dory is my favorite character in it, if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about)...He can be a baaaaaad squishy at times but, I still love him! :)

Ok, I think I've got names for my band and port - Bonnie & Clyde. Bonnie for my band, and Clyde for my port. Hopefully Bonnie (with occasional help from Clyde) will "shoot down" my hunger pains. :) Yeah, I know, it's lame, but it's the best I could come up with!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
