January 2010 bandsters...

Recommended Posts

I am relatively new to this forum. I was banded on January 8th at 6AM. I went to the doctor two weeks ago and had lost 95 pounds ( its closer to 102 now). I have not had any problems with my band and hope things continue to go well.

Pre-OP weight: 348

Surgery Day Weight: 324

Current Weight: 246

I have made a lot of progress and feel like my hard work in the gym is really paying off. I hope things are going well for everydoby.:smile2:

WOW! That's AWESOME!!

Hi Claricey,

I think you need to set goals in increments if that will work better for you. I originally set a goal of 50 pounds then I added another goal of a additional 7 pounds which would give me a few pounds to play with if I went on vacation or something else. I wanted to be realistic and didn't want to put any pressure on myself so I felt like a failure. It took us a long time to put the weight on and will take time to take it off. Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
