How big of sips?

I know we aren't supposed to gulp our liquids. Exactly just how big of sips are we supposed to take? Are they supposed to be tiny or medium size?? I'm so confused.

I'd say small sips. I was told to just sip, sip, sip through out the day. About and ounce every 15 minutes.

Or what you can tolerate comfortably. Mainly just don't open your mouth and pour it down. You don't want to deluge your new tummy and cause it distress during the heaing phase.

Happy Healing!!

The best way I've heard appropriate sip size described, I think, is this: you know the tiny area beneath your tongue between the base of your tongue and the back of your bottom teeth? Liquid can pool there. A sip that fills that little space is just about exactly the amount we should aim for.
