July Mini Boot Camp Challenge!
I have to admit I've been lazy, I know that to keep the weight off, I'm one the those people who have to exercise, So I haven' t lost a pound since May (big surprise NOT!!!) I haven't been exercising . Well it's time to get back in the habbit and everyone is welcomed to join me..or I'm happy to go at it alone. July mini Boot Camp challenge!!! Okay here it goes, there are 21 days left in July and for our mini Boot Camp I am challenging Walkers to get in a min of 60 miles in on or before 7/31/2012. Thats about 2.8 miles a day. CAN WE DO IT, YES WE CAN!! Our Goal is to lose at least 3-6 pounds or 3 inches off you waist (can you say gettin "summer ready" HOW YOU DOIN!!!) Step 1. Weigh yourself I know....I know but it;s time to face reality Step 2.Take your measurments Measure your wasit, hips, thighs, arms, and bust. Step 3. Design your walking program I'll be using "Walk Away the pounds DVDs" with Leslie Sansone Step 4. Create your ticker and Copy it to your signature (Feel free to copy mine) http://www.tickerfactory.com/weight-loss/wSVjNTn/ Step 5. Tell us how your doing. Post in the Fourm everytime you complete 1..2..3.... miles ect. Step 6. Tell us about the smaller you!! We want to know how much weight or how many inches you lost So on 7/31/2012 please share so we can Celebrate together! I really encourage every to at least try this challenge.. We are in this together. Feel free to inbox me with questions! See you at the finish line.

Fat Pictures...
OMG This is why I love this site I’ve been struggling with this lately but for me it’s every time I see an old picture of myself I think that’s what I must still look like even though I’ve lost almost 90 pounds. I never really knew I looked that heavy in the first place so I struggle with my mind telling me “since you weren’t aware you were heavy back then, your still not aware the you are heavy now” Does this make since to anyone else? I feel like I look okay when I take pictures alone but when I take picture with other people in them I feel like I look fat….

My Black Is Beautiful Poem By:keemiekeen
My Black is Beautiful by keemiekeem My Black is beautiful, strong, courageous. Powerful beyond the simple imagination. Others look on, their mouths open in fascination, Cause my Black is beautiful, strong, courageous. So beautiful is my Black that all the world springs from her seed. In fact, if God ever married, she would be His queen. The Europeans come and like what they'd seen. Black beauty ruling over diamonds and things. Even saw the people and the strength they possessed. So much, they took us and yall know the rest. But still inside, Black kings and queens reigned. Forced to listen to ignorant things. But if the lion is the king of the jungle,Why is my Black king wearing his mane? Or just because I'm Black, I need to be tamed. Stereotypically, yet hypocritically, society judges me so critically. Saying, "He's only good if he's an athlete physically, Cause his Black can never make it in the real world mentally." But actually, the only challenge right here is inside of me. So I pour out my heart and hope my Black hears my plea!! Let's go show the people who ruled the world for centuries!! Pharoahs, kings, and queens over everything. My Black is beautiful, strong, courageous. That's why my Black is president over the nation. They say the color happiness in today's world is green. So it's time for us to shine and make Our Black seen.

C-Section Vs. Lap Band Recovery
I've had two c-sections and for me my lapband recovery was far less pain and less recovery time. I was up and about the same day after surgery. IMO they can't be compared.

Maintenance After Reaching Goal
Does anyone have a maintenance plan for when they reach their goal? Or are there any vets out there who have kept the weight off for 1…2…3 years or longer? If so how did you transition and from losing to just maintaining.

How Much Are You Exercising??
I work out every morning at 5am for 1 hour and in the evening for 30 min. Leslie Sansone's "Walk Aways the Pounds". I never worked out pre-band lol and I would not have dreamed that I'd be working out as much as I do now lol. For me it's been a huge part of my success. Good Luck

Surgery Tomarrow
My advice would be to get some sleep lol. My surgeon told me that if I wasn't worried, he'd be worried about me. No stress this is the 1st day of the rest of your life. GOOD LUCK...
