  1. Have you tried chewing your food to the same consistency of the cream of wheat or pudding? I dip most of my meats in low-fat sauces or ketchup or something (mix with the side dish) to get it creamy and it goes down just fine. I make sure there is not one chunk of anything in my food before I swallow. It takes me forever to eat but it's working because I have never gotten stuck or PB'd. Another thing to consider is your diet. My body type works best with tuna, chicken breast, and egg whites. I also cut salt and dairy products. I have switched to Rice Milk and it's good.
  2. I don't think being at the sweet spot means you wouldn't be able to eat everything. I don't have any issues with any types of foods including bread. I consider myself being at a good fill now because I can eat whatever I want in moderation, last 4 hours without physical hunger, and my portion sizes are not too big, and I am losing weight. At this point now I am fighting head hunger and wanting to eat junk food. I am glad I am able to recognize this now because I was at a stall for a little over a month and not losing because I was eating too many sliders and not enough protein. I have lost a little over 8 pounds this past month because I am eating right again and paying attention to my band when I am satisfied.

So, it took me 14 months to get into the 200's and I am so excited! Everytime I got close I would sabotage myself but not anymore! I stayed focused and here I am! Yea me!
  6. I lost 4 pounds between my surgery and post op visit 4 weeks later. I was prepared and aware that it was not going to be a huge loss because they had already told me that. I am glad I did not find this website until a couple of months after my surgery because it would have been a big disappointment seeing a few people that was losing major pounds right after surgery. Then, after I did a little research I noticed that some people didn't do the liquid diet until they had the surgery; so their water weight didn't come off until then which made it look like they was losing more after surgery but me on the other hand lost 13 pounds in 4 days right before my surgery so my body had already had it's shock of liquids. You are doing just fine and keep up the good work!
  7. It may take several fills before you stop getting hungry in between meals. It took my 6th fill before I was able to go 4 hours without getting hungry.
  8. No bigger than half of my pinky finger lol!
  9. That's awesome!!!!! I agree with you if you are healthy, look great and feel great forget that chart! I size 6 is wonderful!
  10. I am glad you are doing better and I believe you can reach goal without it! You can do it! You can do it!
  11. LOL! Have fun with your sneaky self! LOL!
  12. I was confused too when I first got banded I thought that I could have 4 oz of a protein shake at a time but we can drink the whole thing to get all of the nutritional value from it.
  13. I know you think the milk and milkshakes are helping but they actually can make IBS and Acid Reflux worsen. It's a quick fix to allievate the pain but it rebounds later to cause more pain so it's a cycle. I hope this helps some.
  14. Going to Home depot in the morning!
  15. We are upside down! LOL! My upper body is so big compared to my lower body now! I must admit I love the elliptical and bike so I am not working my upper body as much. Since you are doing your workouts on both areas you may just have to wait until it catches up or just do the elliptical for a while and see what happens.
  16. Hey, if you click on someone's ticker it should take you to the website where you can set yours up and then got to your edit profile and change signatures to copy and paste your code there.
  17. Maybe you should try drinking more Water or switch up the type of foods you eat like more fish instead of chicken or vice versa.
  18. This is so true for some people including myself! I will admit I wasn't accurately tracking my calories and was wondering why the scale wasn't moving or bouncing back and forth. Cheating yourself never works! I have been tracking every drink and crumb I put in my mouth since Monday and I have lost 2.8 pounds since then and I have only made it to the gym once. I was going to the gym 4 days a week and didn't lose because I was thinking I wouldn't have to track everything because the extra workouts will cut those calories. I was WRONG!
  19. Yep, from a 11M to a 10W.
  20. I have never threw up right after eating and I have been banded for a year. I don't get food stuck either. I was dry heaving or whatever it's called right after surgery for about 20 min but nothing was coming up because I haven't eaten for a while.
  21. Don't be surprised if you never get stuck. I have a pretty good fill and I have yet to get stuck after a year of being banded. I am so excited!
  22. I am joining Curves again in the morning and a 24 hour gym. I am so excited! I've been working out at a rehab gym but it really doesn't fit my schedule so I am ready to go now! I haven't lost any real weight in a while so I hope this gives me a boost! I have been losing and gaining the same 5 pounds for over a month now!
  23. Don't worry about the people trying to tell you what food choices to make. We all know what's healthy for us. I understood you when you said "What I ate today is not typical"...btw my meals on the weekends is 10x worse than yours LOL! To answer your question...when you get full I think depends upon your fill level, brain receptors, and maybe the type of food you are eating. I am sure some other things may determine when you feel full. I really don't get full anymore like I use to. I just stop eating when I am satisfied. If I am eating chicken strips it's usually 2 of those and about 10 regular fries but if it's steak fries about 5 or 6.
