  1. I wish you well on that journey!
  2. Go to the top left corner of your page where it says.."signed in as Lisannmurray" and click on it. Then click profile, then on your profile page in the right corner toward the top you see a button that says "edit profile" click on it and then click on "change signature" I am sure there is an easier way to do this but I don't know how! LOL!
  3. Click on my ticker and it should take you to a page where you can set your own up. Copy it to your signature page on here. Your signature is located under your profile section. Go to edit profile and then edit signature.
  4. Your doctor will let you know if you need a fill or not. Some people go months or never get a fill after sugery. Somehow just by having the band on provided enough restriction. I wish that would have been the case with me! No fills would have saved me some money.

Hello, I am glad you took control of your situation and started back on this journey. It's a long and tedious road but we can do it! I think it's important to remember that we will all have set back but don't get to comfortable in them. I would suggest when you get off your your liquid diet take small steps back up to solids like you did when you first had the surgery. Tuna, eggs, greek yogurt, chicken salad (I make mine like tuna), and plenty of water. I would suggest oatmeal for breakfast but I know a lot of people have problems with oatmeal. I eat it for breakfast almost every morning because it keeps me going until lunch time. Good luck! Oh, yea work out like you never have before! LOL! (If you don't have any physical limitations).
  6. Thanks! I love this site! This site provides me with instant motivation and advice.
  7. I am at perfect restriction and for me that means I can eat all types of foods without any issues, stay full for 3 to 4 hours (sometimes longer), and I can lose a safe 2 to 3 pounds a week if I eat right lol! I can eat just like I did pre-band but in smaller quantities. Before the band I would have never been able to stop at 1/2 cup of food and feel satisfied....the band has nothing to do with making poor food choices, which I have been doing that since the end of June. Yes, I can diet without the band but I am so happy that I don't get hungry, and it's been a year and six months for me and I haven't gained all my weight back plus some like I would have without being banded.
  8. Well, I have struggled to lose weight since summer hit! I blame myself but something makes me want to blame living in Texas and having to be out in 106 degree heat! I find myself swinging through drive-thrus to get ice cream cones, frappe's, ect..empty calories!!!!! That's how you can eat or drink around the band. I decided thist Monday that I need to drink water and leave that other mess alone and I have already lost 3.8 pounds.
  9. LOL! This thread is funny to me for some reason! LOL! I am sweating more but I contribute it to my weight loss and hormones just trying to regulate. I think once our bodies get stable or stop losing then our hormones will stop bouncing around and causing sweat...I HOPE!
  10. I burped and made all kind of noises right after surgery! LOL! It's completly normal. It's been over a year and I burb when my stomach is empty so I try not to go too long without eating.
  11. I don't have to use my CPAP anymore and I only snore when I am very tired. My blood sugar is normal but my blood pressure actually went up a year later. I think it's job related though.....
  12. Sorry, but I don't have any issues with chicken. If I don't have any kind of sauce it will go down very slow but I use sauce the majority of the time. Try some sort of low calorie dipping sauce.
  13. I'm a cry baby too! This made me cry! I am so happy for you! It's amazing!
  14. I have PCOS and yes my weight loss is a little slower compared to those without it but I am still losing so that's the point! I still crave carbs like crazy but now that I have lost the weight my cycle is regular as in comes every month but it only lasts 2 to 4 days and is still very light. I know WAYYY to much Info! LOL! I use to go over a year without having one so I am so glad I got this done.
  15. I can relate! It feels so good and makes you want to work harder! Congrats!
  16. The best thing to do is to practice eating now just like you have a good fill. Stick to your recommended serving sizes and drink protein shakes or eat greek yogurt in between meals to keep you from being hungry until you get a good fill. It's possible to overeat with no fill or with a good fill. I have 7.3 cc's in my band but if I chew my food to a liquid I could eat a whole meal just like in the past, but the difference is it would take hours to do that, and I don't have time for all of that! You can eat too many calories in slider foods which I did that when I first got my band and slowed my weight loss. I drank frappes almost everyday last summer! I am not doing that this summer...good luck!
  17. Oh, yea! I can hear gurgles while the food is passing though. Everybody else can hear it too! My stomach make chewbacca noises too! LOL!
  18. 2 small cans of chicken or 1 large can, I use fresh chicken sometimes, light mayo, paprika, 2 chopped eggs, small jar of pimentos, salt and pepper to taste, and a little bit of sweet pickle relish if I feel like it. I use whole wheat ritzs.
  19. I eat Subway every blue moon. I don't have problem with eating bread but I do get them to dig out the center and toast my wheat bread. It's so good! Subway is the one food I really miss since being banded. I have had Subway 3 times since being banded.
  20. I am glad you are on the right track now! Congrats! Are you planning on getting the band out since it's not helping you? Do you believe the band assisted in you not getting any bigger over those 7 years? The band gets no credit at all?
  21. Alex just posted something in the POST Operation Section....He is discussing the Green Zone it may help you out.
