  1. Kristy, so glad to hear you are in. What are your instructions? I can't wait for my authorization.tykreem;82204]i got my date: october 13th.
  2. Hi Spiritus, I'd like to correct you on Pacific Bariatric. For post surgery patients follow-up visits are done in Anaheim unless you want to drive to San Diego.
  3. Im so glad I will not have this problem. I don't have a scale at home, nor am I driving 25 minutes from home to get on one. Now if I have to go to the doctor or emergency then that is different. But I will not be buying one. It is truly an obsession, only because as a lot of you know, you have lost a tremendous amount of weight. Losing is a wonderful thing and to know this WLS is the tool to make us happy, who wouldn't want to know how the scale is moving.
  4. Wow, Im glad I came across this posting. I haven't had surgery yet, but trying some of these will surely help me to not be bored and turn to food to satisfy boredom. I will be making a list for all things that can be done around here before knowing what my surgery date is. Thanks for opening my mind tonight.
  5. susan, i forgot to ask, how did you deal with the edema prior to surgery?
  6. Sounds good. I think the same, in that, I will be able to move more freely. My goal is to jog, a big jump from only walking. Great job on your weight loss.
  7. There are so many of you who have had the surgery at least a year. Its been HOT this weekend in Los Angeles and unbearable for this fat I have and the edema is worst than ever. Since surgery, losing lbs and feeling lighter, how has it been for you during hot days. Is it the same feeling of being hot and miserable? or sweating profusely? or is the heat more tolerable? I sure can't wait til next summer when I can say I feel good not lugging around all those lbs. Krys
  8. I will have to try Caramel Latte. My husband says I should stick with the same flavor I always buy. But if the Caramel Latte is true to taste like the strawberry Milkshake, I will surely buy my next visit to Lindberg Nutrition.
  9. I like this idea too. Will start on Monday.
  10. Thanks KabinKitty, I will try this. I will look up Gluten-free foods. Thanks and I know it will boost some weight loss.
  11. Congrats for passing this stepping stone. 14 weeks is really not a long time. Classes were only 12.
  12. Nature Made Iron. I bought at Target. QUOTE=thin2be;80863]I have a history of anemia which steams from PCOS and the mest of periods!!Do you mind me asking what brand of iron u take and the dose? I am worried about anemic when I get my labs done....I have my last class Tuesday the 28th and want to make sure that I have my iron up:thumbup:
  13. gets better with time. stay encouraged & be strong.
  14. awwwww, no problem. we can use a boost and lots of help. very good info the website has.
  15. Amen, Amen. And that is the backlog. No surgeons
  16. Crazy. All we can do hope for the best. At least you're a number on the list.
  17. I kind of think Kaiser should slow down with classes so Pacific and Kaiser catch up.
  18. Wow!!!! Have you spoken to anyone? Is there a waiting list? Shoot I may not have surgery til next year. OTE=kristykreem;80862]my consultation went well, but it was on august 23rd and i still don't have a surgery date. pacific bariatric has been overwhelmed with kaiser patients and they've fallen behind. so, i'm waiting in line to be called to schedule my surgery. not happy.
  19. @kristy - how was your consult with Pacific Bariatric? I am waiting for another week for Kaiser to send them authorization #.
  20. Wonderful. Glad to know procedure went well. QUOTE=emmalouise;80641]I'm all done everyone! Woohoo! I made it :-) everything went great, no problems in surgery. My doctor was very happy. Pain is not too bad, on morphine pump. All wired up with my oxygen as I type. Still foggy guys so i'll make it short and sweet :-) Thanks for all the wonderful support. Xxx Emma
  21. Yes, I am able to proceed. Ive been taking the iron now for a month and completed more labs since I began. Im just waiting patiently.
  22. Wow!!!! I am in total agreement. This is the way Ive been thinking. If you want something in your life that will give you the ULTIMATE satisfaction then make food an associate not a friend. For the next two months I have to stay focused. This is a Huge decision we are making for our lives. Its time we give back to our bodies and treat it with the respect we like for others to treat us.
  23. yes i am truly excited. I have noticed eacn facility operates differently. We completed labs throughout the program so the doctor could watch how we were doing. For example, I am anemic and now I am required to take 2 Iron pills a day to build my blood.
  24. my daughter bought me this dumb phone - htc touchscreen.i am trying to work it.
  25. There is always a reason to be happy. Such an inspiration.
