  1. Yes it is good! I also like butternut squash and tomato You'd get the regular Myoplex? I always did the lite. The regular had sooo many calories. But yes to everything else!
  2. *hides* It's gonna be 71º tomorrow in LA! oh gosh I don't know how you guys deal with snow. I don't think I could ever do it.
  3. Hi!! I live in Hollywood I was banded 12/13 by Dr. Paya in Irvine.
  4. I didn't try it, but it was in my program too. I just ate mushy things like Tuna, didn't feel I needed baby food.
  5. You have to control your portions, it's not gonna do it for you. That isn't the point, but it controls your hunger
  6. Yay! I had one on Sunday, i wore this t-shirt that was always so uncomfortable on my arms it was just a little too small for me to want to wear and it was perfect size! Also my jeans are a bit baggy now, which is way better than them being tight
  7. I agree with everyone on the Myoplex Lite. I like the Choc and vanilla. You need 3-4 a day. It adds up, but they taste WAY better than the blender kind. Or there is Isopure "juice" like stuff that they sell at GNC for something different. Also chicken broth or bullion, sugar free popsicles, and if you are aloud maybe get tomato Soup or butternut squash soup (if you are on full liquids) Also don't forget your Vitamins, it took me a while to find all of those in chewable form. Also I'd get liquid Tylenol, and a heating pad if you don't have one. and TONS of Water.
  8. It's normal since you aren't eating. I'm still having that problem now that I'm real food but I just take a laxative. I'm not sure what you can do... how long till you eat again?
  9. I felt much better after 3 or 4 days. Should have at least 60 grams of protein, which is at least 3 shakes a day (i think most have about 20g protein) or you are going to be hungry.
  10. Are you on liquids? How much Protein are you getting in a day? Are you sure it's hunger and not gas pains?
  11. Don't weigh yourself daily, you'll just get discouraged. You might need MORE exercise. I was always told by my trainer to make a difference, you need about an hour of cardio 5 days a week to really burn fat and make a difference. I know the TV says 20 minutes a day! That's not the case when you are losing weight. 20 minutes on the elliptical might burn 100 calories this is from webmd http://www.nutristrategy.com/caloriesburned.htm <~check this too
  12. Hm are you doing everything right? http://lapbandtransformation.com/Adjustments.htm You shouldn't want to throw up! You don't need to test it. You have to police yourself, the band is just a tool in your weightloss. It can't stop what you put in your mouth. Listen to your body, are you hungry or do you just want food?
  13. That's pretty much a standard diet! The stuff I was supposed to eat pre-band haha. Sweet 3 pounds is awesome.
  14. I haven't had any problems with any food, but I've been avoiding steak, almost all sweets like cake/cookies, bready-breads (I still do crackers and I can do one piece of toast, overall it's just not worth eating usually). Oddly enough I'm not that big on variety at home so I kinda eat the same things daily. Breakfast egg beaters with salsa and low fat cheese, 1 piece whole wheat toast lunch chicken salad with Water crackers dinner ground turkey with marinara and mozzarella then I usually have a bowl of oatmeal sometime during the day. When I'm out I watch calories closely if I can. You'd be surprised what is in restaurant food. If they have a nutrition guide, look at it. I went to CPK last night, a salad has 1600 calories.
  15. That sounds right, pay attention to your body, a good portion of this journey is mental.
  16. I feel it slightly in my stomach, like when I stand up, but it's not the huge bloated feeling like I would get pre-op. Yea it's not the full feeling you think of. 90% of the battle is mental, and just physically noticing you don't need more food to be full, the band isn't going to change your eating habits or stop you from eating. Just eat your half cup of food slowly, and you shouldn't be hungry, sometimes I want more food, but my body isn't hungry. I feel like the band keeps the hunger at bay. When before you would diet and be hungry all the time.
  17. It's the gluten in it. I had some kind of Pasta dish the other day, it was like a noodle Soup, and I didn't have any problems, but noodles weren't the main event in the dish. Yea try like corkscrews, macaroni things like that instead of long strands. Also I'd make sure it's the whole grain with Protein in it or maybe try gluten free, or I saw they make rice pasta and other types of noodles that aren't just flour if it's causing you problems. Or for me for dinner generally I have ground turkey, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, I don't miss the pasta.
  18. http://lapbandtransformation.com/Adjustments.htm Read through this
  19. Ditto month post op, zero vomiting. I'm guessing it mainly happens if you eat WAY too much or you are adjusted too tight and food can't pass through.
  20. I liked Isopure with sugar free kool aid. Also myoplex lite shakes, all flavors. Then I would supplement with chicken broth if I wanted it
  21. Breakfast: 1/2 cup egg beaters with salsa and 2% cheese, 1 small piece whole wheat toast Lunch: 1/2 cup waldorf style chicken salad, 5 Water crackers Dinner: 1/2 ground turkey, marinara sauce, buffalo mozzarella SF fudgesical 1 packet plain oatmeal, 1 tsp brown sugar, pat of butter
  22. Every doctor has a different plan
  23. Yep haha, it's just the same questions which is annoying, but I just ignore what i don't wanna agree
  24. I think it's fine, i put salt pepper and garlic powder on it, and when it's coated in salsa it's fine. I did try it with ground beef, but it just has more calories. I honestly don't care either way! For puree I ate a LOT of chili, and a lot of oatmeal, and i had quite a bit of chicken lettuce wrap filling (I was on vacation during most of my purees)
