  1. I am surprised your band let you eat all that bad food. Shame on your band not working for you. And congrats to you for writing this blog and opening the eyes for others, like me. Yesterday was a boring day for me and it seemed like I ate and ate but I ate only the good stuff. And then there was the scales thinking, oh no......I have gained but nope was the same to my surprise. Today, I am going to be better and not piece all day like I did yesterday. That's the plan.

  2. Yep, you got one here. I am old and want the rest of my life to be skinny and be able to travel and walk thru a crowd without my big butt bumping into people. Only 42 lbs down but it is the most I ever lost at one time without stopping and gaining it all back with 10 more on top of that. Good luck to you.

  3. Wow, that bite never went down. I am so surprised. I don't think I will eat any hamburger. 3 days!!! I just went 20 mins and thought I was going to pass out from stuffing two Ritz Crackers in my mouth. I am happy your are ok now and on the right track. Good luck to continue to loose that weight.

  4. Yeah for you. I pray that I can get to my goal some day even though the doctors office said I would never loose that much weight with the lap band and should do the bypass. I stood my ground and told them no I want the band and I WILL loose the weight!!!! I got the band on Dec 31st and down 42 lbs so I am going to show them. Congrats to you and keep up the good work because it is a lifetime journey.

  5. You poor thing. I cannot believe that thin pea soup is getting stuck. When did you have your surgery? And your right, this is not the easy way out. Some people are just stupid. I hope your evening gets better as the night goes on. Judy

  6. 2 cc wow, I had 1 cc and having to learn to eat slower and less. You be careful and remember to chew. I stuffed two Ritz crackers in my mouth last night and for 20 mins I paced and had that awful pain thinking I will never eat again because it hurt so much. But it went away just as fast as it came on. Now I am eating yogurt just to get my crushed pills down and it takes forever to get it down. I sound like the clogged drain with all the gurgling I am making everytime I take two baby spoon fulls. So be careful Amy, don't want you to have the pain I had last night. But I am down 42 lbs now from my heaviest weight. So this band thing does work. I had my fill last Thursday and never had a problem until last night, Monday. I was told the real restriction can come as far away as 2 weeks after the fill.

  7. OMG, you poor thing. I had that feeling last night also. I stuffed two Ritz crackers in my mouth and forgot to chew them and wow for 20 mins I had that awful feeling and scared my husband to death. I did the same thing with no spit going down. I even thought if I could just throw up I would be better but then finally it went away just as fast as it came. 6 hours, you poor thing. I know the pain but NOT for 6 hours. Please, let me know how you made out. My surgery was the 31st and have had 3.5 cc put in there all together and after last night I think I am in my green zone. I have the gurgling sound just eating yogurt to get my meds down. It is 5:30 in the morning and I hope your pain has gone.

  8. Wow what a surprise saying your acid reflex is too bad. I was told that the smaller the hole the less reflex you will have. Well, they are wrong because I too get acid reflex and have been on Niexum for years which has caused polups at the top of my stomach. They found them when I had my scope down my throat done. After my surgery on Dec 31st my family doctor told me to start getting off the Niexum which I tried but the heart burn was so bad it woke me up at night so I stayed on it. Now, day before yesterday I had my second fill and I am going to start again to try and get off them which the doctor that did the fill said I should be able to get off that medication for good. Good luck with your journey and think positive and don't gain any of that weight back. Just remember how hard it is to get it back off. March 30th will come sooner than you think.

  9. So happy you have posted and wow, you have lost lots of weight. I can now say I am down 38 lbs and still going and that is without exercise. I am having problems with one foot and the other leg but I try and do upper body exercised at home. There was only one week that I gained a pound but lost that and some more. I miss seeing that green shirt. I love your positive attitude and you gave it to me so lets keep loosing weight and so far no one has noticed my weight lost but you wait until the summer time when I put on that bathing suit. I am going to feel great.

  10. So sorry for you lost. I lost both my parents and if you have not gone thru it you really don't know how it feels. It is a terrible lost. But I do have a question about the living trust............what is that?

  11. Wow, you are doing great. My surgery was the 31st and only down 36 lbs with NO excerise. So I guess that is not too bad. I have a bad foot so I can only exercise my upper body which it gets boring. My foot is getting better so I hope when I get back to the gym my weight will go down faster. I am old and have noticed the saggy skin under by chin which is gross but 36 lbs is great for me. Usually I loose 30 and start to gain it all back plus another 10 lbs so I am feeling good about myself. Congrats to you and keep up the good work.

  12. I had 1.5 for my first fill and going for my second one Thursday and also to a new doctor. My surgery doctor closed his office which really sucks for me. But off with the old and on with the new. Good luck with you second fill and can't wait to hear how you make out and how much they put in. Judy

  13. Know how you feel. Banded on the 31st of December and only lost 16 lbs and was 17 lbs. Today is weigh day and gained that pound. 33 lbs since I started this journey and I always start gaining once I hit 30 lbs on all the diets I have done thru out my life. And I always gain more than 30 lbs. So, lets get working on this bad situation and listen to all of our new banded friends and lose some of the FAT. Good Luck to you, I am there with ya.

    Judy

  14. Wow, I know what you mean. I am only down 34 lbs since my surgery myself but I put on a shirt that I have not worn in years and it fit, matter of fact if fit loosely. I won't try on my skinny jeans yet because I have a long ways to go but WE have started. Congrats to you and me.

    Judy

  15. I am so happy for you. I am only down 34 lbs but was just banded on Dec 31st. 17 lbs before surgery and 17 lbs after surgery. I can't wait for people to notice. I have told no one but my children and my daughter, God love her, and I were on Skype yesterday and she told me I looked skinner in the face. She just said that to make me feel good. Wish she lived close by. Anyhow, 109lbs is great and keep up the good work. You should get a gold star. Keep up the good work.

    Judy

  16. Stress...........wow you do have that. You have been thru a lot and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I was just banded on Dec 31s so I am just learning about my band and I did not know stress does effect it. I will keep that in mind and please post again regarding Mark. It must be awful having him so far away. That was a beautiful picture you posted.

  17. Wow, I just read your blog and now I am a follower..I hope. You look fantastic so keep up the good work. Sit down with your family and talk to them and tell them that when you go in that room you want to be left alone because you need some alone time. Explain to them that you are there for them all the other time except for your alone time. It might work for ya because you sure are a beautiful girl and need to get under that 200 mark. I was just banded the 31st of December and my first fill was last Thursday and I am down 34lbs from my highest weight and I feel great. I am still wearing my big clothes but they sure do feel comfortable now. I want to get under 200 myself. So good luck to you and good luck to me..................Judy

  18. That sounds yummy. I will give it a try for sure. But only lost 12 lbs so far since my surgery and waiting for my first fill which I hope is this week. It was suppose to be last Thursday but the doctor decided NOT to come back to the office after doing surgeries at the hospital. I am in the process of changing doctors because my doctors office is closing which really sucks and the office staff is in the I don't care about you. It use to be fun going to the doctors and everyone telling you wow another pound that is great. Oh well, I am going to stay positive hope this weight comes off. Thank you for the receipt because I love cake and miss it but this will give me a little taste and not many calories.

    Judy

  19. I am waiting for my first fill also which WAS suppose to be last Thursday but now it is this Thursday. I am thinking positive also but the weight sure went off fast the first week after the band but is going off slowly now. Hope the fill helps. Good luck to ya.

    Judy

  20. 50 lbs wow Most ever I lost is 30 lbs and that is where I am now. 30 lbs from my heaviest weight. Today I get my first fill. I am eating 1/2 or less of what I use to eat and have not lost any weight in a week so I hope this fill will help me. But I am worried about the getting stuck part. I had tuna fish on a piece of toast and took 4 bits and then I could not breath. I think it stuck on me. It was the first piece of bread I had since before my surgery and wow, I got scared. I did find that when I bent over it helped the pain and then I kept walking. Finally it went away just as fast as it happened. I just had to telll someone that................sorry. I can't wait until I can type to you and say I lost 50 pounds.............. Keep up the good work. Judy

  21. Now this blog was enjoyable to read. I am going for my first fill on Thursday and you make it sound like a breeze. Some of these stories the others say make me scared but I liked your blog. Thank you, Judy
