  1. When I get to the pre-op diet, I hope mine is some what like that, Now I can do that diet.

  3. Jess, I with you I had more test then Carter have liver pills. The only test you had that did not take was the sleep test which was done in 2008 and the monitored weight loss. My surgeon ask my PCP to fax him all of my weigh in's from the pass two yeas to show I had a continuous weigh gain. I also have to visit with the dietician on all of my app with my surgeons. And I had app with a psych consult.
  4. Zippy, Congratulations, I'm happy for you! My surgery date is September 30, that is if BCBS give the approval
  5. Saturday I attend a support group, One lady said she brought some pants and two weeks later, she had to exchange for a smaller sizer.
  6. After all my testing the Dr said they find out that I have a hernias also, he will repair when I have my LAP-BAND®® surgery.
  7. I would send them back, in two weeks you will have your surgery. For the last 4 or 5 months me and DH have been going out shopping, Everytime he ask did I see anything I like, my reply was, " no I will be losing weight soon put the money to the side I will need it later " If you can get by with out buying new clothes I would.
  8. I have not told anyone but DH and his Sister, I took her to the support group with me Saturday, My Psych. Dr said that I should tell Family, friends and co-wokers because I have to changes my eating habits. I know a number of people that told others about there weight loss surgery, and I hear what my family :thumbup::cursing: and other friends :lol:have to say, I'll tell them after the surgery.

  14. I visit my Dr today, and he put me on Vitamin D also.
  15. Jess55, I was asking because, my Surgeon also required that I attend 3 of the group support meetings. I had missed 2 of the meeting, on my last visit it was maid clear that I had to attend, before the my surgery. I'm happy that I went. There was a number of things that was talked about. like the protein you must have so your hair will not come out, I know after the surgery that I would have to take protein, but I'm not sure how much. The group also talked about, piling or stacking for got which word that was used. Also how they felt before and after surgery. I'm very happy I did attend, what I hear at the group and do not understand I can come here for more infor or if there is infor I read here the group can help to make it more clearer

Spoiltmom, I'm in the same boat as you My BIM is 35, I have Mild to Moderate Apnea, my Hypertension is being controlled by meds. I also have High Cholesterol and a couple of other things going on. I guess what's making me so nervous when i visit the Dr, he say you are a little low but we will see what we can do.   21. spoiltmom, I have you in my prayers, that the insurance will approve you for the lap band. Thursday, I had my last pre surgeon testing done, Tuesday I will be call my Dr to see when he will be submitting the infor to the insurance I hope that mine will be approve also. My BIM is 35.

  24. Hello Nicole, I new to L B T also. I'm just starting I had my first Dr. App. on 5/10/10.
  25. Hi LadyInBlack, I'm new to the site also, I had my first Dr. visit 5/10/10. I'm praying that I be approve. I'm also willing to change all the bad habits that was learned as a little girl, so that I can become more healthy.
