Hello, I forgot to add to my last post, hubby and I recieved 5 cc in our first fill. Is this a normal amount? I thought it was alot for the first one. I've read on so many posts that the first fills are only usually about 2 cc's....Is this normal for the TLBC? I'm so afraid to eat now. I don't want anything to get stuck.... Anyone know? Hello, Had my first fill yesterday. I went very smooth. Nothing to it...... I'm still on liquids for a few more hours, but I'm terrified to eat. What should I start with in terms of solids??? Now, I feel lost... Thanks to all your support.....

Hello, I had surgery in Nov. at the TLBC in Toronto too. Yes, the pre diet is only cottege cheese and yogurt for 2 weeks. I know that they tell some people they could have a piece of chicken too, but I was never told this. Good luck to you. You will be fine..... Let us know how your doing..

Hello, I know you will do great.... The pre diet is very hard, but after day 5 you will get so used to it. Stick to what ever your doctor suggests. They are the professionals and they know BEST... I will be here for you every step of the way.... All the best with your BAND.... :kiss2: :kiss2:

Yoda, Last night I was in so much pain with my stomach, I actually thought I slipped.....Oh God, I hope not... My hubby says it's the chocolate and my body is not used to the crap....LOL... Does the TLBC do fills under fluro too? What are you losing on an average now per week? I really hope my weight loss picks up. I'm so discouraged this morning... Hello, How are you all doing? Happy New Years to all of you!!! I'm finally going for my very first fill on Tues. Jan. 9th. I'm excited about it. I've been eating way too much during my solid phase. It's very hard to control myself. I'm really hoping that it will make a difference. I'm told that the first fill will not necessarily give you restriction right away. I understand that, but I'm thinking that it will make some kind of difference in my food choices. How was the first fill for you all? Does it hurt? Do I stay on liquids for that day or longer? I've also been trying to practice the not drinking with meals, but that too is very hard to get under control. How long does the first fill take? I'm told to plan on being there for 2 hours. Hello, Hope you all had a great christmas! I'm now starting my 6th week today.... I'm supposed to be on solids, but I've cheated already twice. I feel so bad... It all started out with a few chocolate almonds on boxing day, which lead to mixed chips.....The food seemed to stay down okay. I've been very down lateley since my system is all BACKED UP!!! My doctor gave me some medication (LACULOSE), BUT IT JUST SEEMS TO GIVE ME A TUMMY ACHE...I went once or twice with it, but I stopped taking it, thinking if I started eating solids then I should be okay.....Hubby and I get our first fill at The TLBC Jan 9th, but my question is what to eat right now....This morning, I brought to work, some egg whites, choppped up very fine...Soup at hand for lunch and some yogurt for snack. Seems okay, right? Will this need to eat all the time change? I hope to GOD it does with our fills..... This is the reason for my wanting the band, because I seem to have a very big problem with portion control....... I know many of you had your procedure with The TLBC, so I hope you can help steer me in the right direction until my first fill....... Thank you so much for once again listening to me... Good Afternoon, How are you all doing? I'm doing good. It's now been 12 days since my surgery. I'm feeling good, but very hungry. I feel like I could start eating, but I'm on my 1st week of FULL liquids. Could I have more than what they are suggesting on paper? I find I could eat way more than that. I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm up 2 pouns, so I was a little upset about that. I know that my body is still trying to recover and these next few weeks are really not about losing weight, but about recovering right? I will not eat solids till they say it's okay, but I'm wondering if I could eat more now? Thanks, Doriana
