Massachusetts could become the first state to make it illegal for parents to spank their children. Today, at the Massachusetts State House, the hearing for a bill to ban the practice was standing room only - From ABCNews.com I personally think spanking is child abuse, but I have a friend who insists that it is the best way to discipline his son. When he was a child he was beat quite severly by his mother but still insists on using this method of discipline.
  2. Hi, My doctor is Gary Korus at Penn Prebyterian. He is great. I have been completely happy with him and the program there. Good luck finding a doc. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
  3. I like Matrix 5.0 (cookies and cream) and Unjury chocolate and unflavored. The cookies and cream is great mixed in coffee.
  4. I am a research scientist in oncology biology.
  5. I totally agree. Geeze it's just R&R, it's not a freaking porn site......
  6. I agree and I think this should be required reading before you can post just like TOS. I think most people would appreciate knowing this stuff before they start posting.
  7. When I first came to this site I had the typical questions we all had (what is a pb, etc) and I found answers to all of them in the FAQ section on this board. I think it would be helpful if LBT had new folks scroll through that before they are able to post, just as you would have to agree to TOS. Having said that; once you do interact with others on the board just as in life you need to separate out what is crap and what is of value. Who is being more supportive, someone who tells you it’s not that bad that you didn’t follow your post op diet or someone who explains why it is important and maybe even puts a little fear into you so that you don’t mess up again as WASa did in a post linked to earlier in this thread. Would you rather have a friend who let you walk around with a piece of broccoli in your teeth or one who would tell you about it even though that would be more uncomfortable for both of you? For every post answered on this board there are a lot more that just get read. I wonder how many newbies are hurt by so many people posting pseudo supportive stuff that is crap just because it’s easy for them to say and I also wonder how many folks were about to make a mistake and then read WASa’s post and it stopped them.

    Nah, it's "the girls"

Yeah, it was on Gray's but I think it was George and not the chief. I hope they don't have to go into reruns because of the writers strike.
  10. Even being fully aware of this, there are those times when I just gotta let myself have 1/2 slice of the marble pound cake. It's the best! But I hate the foofoo coffees and just have house blend or kona with half and half so I guess that makes up for it a little.
  11. Hey watch that! Chelle loves her T.O.

Congrats Lauren!!! :clap2: I didn't buy the pain stuff either. I had some tylenol3 and took one of those the first time. After that I didn't take anything. They will give you some stress balls if you want them. I can't wait to hear how it works for you.
  13. Now that is cute. And so cool to remember your dad when you baby is snoozing in it.
  14. is that why my left shoulder hurts...
  15. I bet she has little pink bows in her hair and sleeps in bed.
  16. Shih Tzu's are not as cute as Shelties. Having a brachycephalic dog is a sign that your band is too tight. You and your dog should both be taking pea sized bites.....
  17. Same here! Ahhh F'em if they can't take a joke :bounce:
  18. "There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstiition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area we call The Twilight Zone." Insert Twilight Zone theme song here......

They sell packages of 5 treatments. I think for upper lip, chin, and neck it's not too bad. I'm not sure on the price, maybe around $500-600 and they have those free credit specials all the time too. I think they will tell you that stuff over the phone, and the consultation is free as well. Good luck!

Go for it! Don't wait till you're in your 40's like I did. My mom just got her first treatment and she's 80! I never had to have stubble either. If it's not shaved completely off it will burn so if there is stubble the nurse typically shaves it right before the treatment.

I started going to one of these Sona places when I lived in the Boston area. Sona Med Spa Brentwood: Home Then I moved to Philly and the one here decided to leave the franchise so my treatments were finished at the same place but with a different name.

That's not exactly true. You can't wax because the laser follows the hair to the root, but you can shave the hair. In fact you have to before treatment. I had my legs and armpits done and it's among the best money that I ever spent. The place that I went to had an interest free 18 month credit deal with care credit too which was great.
  23. For the past few years I have given out bottles of water. The first time it was because I didn't expect kids at my apt bldg. All I had was a case of half pint bottles of water so I gave them each a bottle. They loved it. (times sure have changed since I was a kid). Now I go to Costco and get several cases to give out. This year they were a big hit again with the kids and their parents. I don't have left over candy around and I feel good about what I gave out.
  24. I totally agree. He's such a moron. I hope the recent judgment makes them so strapped for cash that they all just go away and shut the hell up.
