  2. Hi, I live in Montgomery Co. too
  3. Yum, sounds good. I always worry about something getting stuck or people noticing that I eat really slow. They never do though, but they always noticed that I ate really fast before the band. The thing that I can't get used to here is that when you do a quick reply it does not close the window so it looks kind of like it didn't take.
  4. You found us, Yipppe!!
  5. Nice post's on the Blocked thread too by the way.
  6. Good luck, I just go really slow. If all else fails just eat Soup.
  7. Waving back and dragging Vicki kicking and screaming over to the sane world.....
  8. I'm reading Sanjay Gupta's "Chasing Life" I love it so far. Stiff sounds really interesting. I'll have to pick that one up. Susan

I did a search for SandyR hoping she would not be here and was so happy to find this post.
  10. I'm feeling a little lethargic today as well. I thought maybe it was because my older dog is sick (brain tumor) and had several seizures yesterday, but maybe it is a post surgical thing since we both had our surgeries on the same day. Hopefully I'll get up enough energy to do my walk pretty soon.
  11. My doctor is Gary Korus in Philly at Penn. He is the best! I am so happy with him. If you don't mind the drive you should go to one of his monthly seminars. http://pennhealth.com/bariatrics/presby/ Susan
  12. Hi everybody, Glad all of us with early January surgeries are doing well. I hope things go just as good for the rest of the January bandsters. Angyl have you tried flavored soymilk. I can’t drink milk so I have been using soymilk to mix with my protein powder. I have the vanilla flavored from Costco and it tastes pretty good. 100 cals and 8 grams of protein in 8 oz. So far the liquid diet has not been bad at all, but my surgeon did not require any pre-op diet just no food or anything to drink after midnight before surgery so liquids only for 2 weeks now is all good with me. Take care everybody. Susan
  13. Hi Everyone! My surgery date is Jan 3rd. Success to all of us! Susan
  14. Hi Chris, This thread is a great idea. I am still in the pre-surgery stages of the process. I have had most of my tests and hope to have surgery in Jan. I have been divorced for about 6 years. I don't think I would even discuss the band in a dating situation, but would be alright with it in a more serious relationship. I have only told a couple of people about it so far, just very good friends and family. I worked in Boston for a couple of years and lived in Waltham. I just moved back to the Philly area last Feb. Good luck with your band and dating. I hope this thread takes off as well.
  15. I would ask him to keep his check book ready in case you get in infection. :nervous
  16. I am working on mine as well. I'm not so sure my sisters will appreciate me calling them to ask what they weigh so that I can put it on my form. Maybe I'll just guess on those 2. :thankyou:
  17. Sandybells those are great!
  18. I am a cancer researcher during the week and a vet tech on the weekends
  19. Hi Marcy, not yet I am just starting my pre-lim tests. I have a sleep study Friday night. I am hoping to have surgery in Jan. Where are you at in the process? Where in MI are you from? Susan
  20. Hi I'm from Ann Arbor, but live in PA now (a little north west of Philly). All the best with your surgery and GO TIGERS!:cheer2:
  21. I just found out that my sleep study will be Friday night:notagree Thanks again for the welcome in. It feels great to be moving forward! Susan
  22. Hi All, I too have been lurking for a couple of weeks. I attended a seminar a few weeks ago and had my first consult appointment last Monday. I will be completing all of the pre-surgical tests over the next few weeks. This is such a great place to get info on everything to do with the band. I was pretty nervous about the surgery, but after hanging out here for a while I'm more excited about it. Thanks to everyone for all of the great info sharing. Susan
