I hate it when people post just to post.....
I think I'm almost up to 17 cups a day. Nah, that's not too much. And I have a one eyed cat named Cedric that someone left stuck in the door of one of the vet clinics that I worked at when he was just a tiny baby. Now he thinks he's a Sheltie....

My first official R&R...Bandsters who dont know a damn thing about banding
Wonder if that same logic would make them decided to just limp around as opposed to getting a knee replacement.

I only have one time. I was at work eating too fast after someone just pissed me off. A bad combination.

I agree with Jessie A. I think the term PB is stupid. If it was in your stomach (no matter what portion) and it comes up out of your stomach you have vomited.

He answers posts here too. I think he reads the "lap band complications" thread on a regular basis.

I don't think so, he is a bit of a nut and these people just hate him. I was actually hoping the Lions would beat the Eagles because I'm from Detroit, but it was not to be. Guess I'll just have to stick with Michigan State and of course my Pistons as far as sports go. It sure was nice to live in Boston when the Red Soxs won the world series and of course the Patriots.

I am pretty sure he will get more press than McNabb. These folks just won't let the T.O. thing go.

LaraNicole, thank you so much for being so open and honest and posting this. I wish you all the best with your baby and your health.

No body wants you to leave, and I am sure you are a nice person. We are not trying to push. I think that what some of us want here, that we most likely will never get, is for just one person who promoted Sandy, posted a link to her web page, did a shout out to her, gave her kudos for all of her advice, etc. for just one of the many people who did one of those things to have the balls to stand up now and say that she was wrong on that same forum. Geeze the woman spent half of a thread telling me that I chose the wrong doc. She does not know me or my doc (who is absolutely wonderful by the way) but several folks through their support of her dogma gave her some sort of authority to do stuff like that. There are people she sent PM's to telling them they were mentally ill (not the obvious one) and all kinds of inappropriate crap like that. It would be so refreshingly nice for just one of the people who never stood up while we had that crap thrown at us to stand up now. Just one...

So you just decided to come to LBT cuz it's a fun place and serendipitously there was a post about imposters on R&R followed by Laurens other thread? Wow what are the odds of that? I think it's been made pretty clear that this thread is R&R and debate happens here. There is tons of support and great info on LBT but a thread called Rants and Raves is probably not the first place to look for it. I think you, Nancy and LaraNicole came to this forum and R&R looking for exactly what you found. I invited Work because I like her and I wanted her to know the truth about Sandy.

I believe we touched on the infamous “email list” in the other thread. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f80/why-do-i-do-myself-42361/index2.html

I wonder how many people had access to my email via that email list? From what LN told Vicki it sure sounds like a lot.

I just think you guys go a little overboard at times with blaming him for the ill's of the OH board. Sandy has posted on that board that she does not believe I am a cancer researcher. Do I care? Hell no. I have publications and she does not. I have a job doing what I say I do (that I really need to be posting data for now instead of writing this) and she does not. There is nothing that Sandy can say to me that will affect the way I feel about myself. I am responsible for me. There comes a time when you just have to quit blaming your problems on others.

Dee once told Vicki that Amy offered her a position as a moderator on OH but she turned it down. Can you imagine Dee as a moderator.......

I think I know who you were referring to earlier and I found that person to be just as nasty as Sandy. Like Sandy she made statements that were not backed up by any data so I never took her seriously. Unless she was quoting Jessie Ahroni which is where her saying "just because you can doesn't mean you should" actually came from.

Congrats and great job to you too! I didn't realize that either! I look at your pics and you look so much thinner than me but we are both the same size I think (12). It's so nice to buy stuff in the regular departments. Just in time for Vera Wang's new line at Kohls!

I think you miss my point here. This isn't a post about protein shakes. It's a post about someone not getting hammered because they are a part of a particular group. Had a newbie come on that board and admitted to regaining some of her weight and mentioned drinking a protein shake every morning people would have been all over her with comments about it. But this wasn't a newbie therefore it appeared, to me at least, as though she was protected from ridicule because of her alliance.

I have a question that is somewhat related. When your friend Caeli returned to OH and started posting again one of her first posts stated that she needed to get back on track and needed to start drinking her shake every morning. No one challenged her on that statement. When others who were beyond the initial liquid phase talked about protein shakes being part of their daily nutrition typically they faced a bunch of flack about it from what I would term "member of the clique" but when Caeli said she needs to drink a shake every morning there was no debate about it. No big blow harding from Ron or anyone else. What's up with that? Can you honestly say that if the same post was made by Wendell there would be no condemnation of the shake?

Ditto here, I had to mix my V8 with warm chicken broth. It was actually pretty good that way.

Just because someone asks about something on a forum does not mean that their doc didn't provide that info to them. I would bet alot of them were even provided with it in writing. If those people asked their docs the same questions a few times their docs would see what points need to be hammered home a little harder, and that would improve care for everybody. I also think there are a lot of people who know full well what they should and should not be doing/eating but want to find out what's the worst that can happen if they do those things anyway. Those people probaby should have gone to Jenny Craig. It would have been a lot safer for them.
