  2. That is a great lost for only a few days! Way to go!!! The only think I can have is the shakes and sugar free Jello and popsicles! That is it! But I guess it will get me ready for what is to come after the band! keep up that weight lose! you can do it!!!!

  4. OMG - where to begin! 1. walk up steps without losing my breath! 2. walk without my lower back hurting! 3.Able to play with my 6 yr old without having the above 4. Making Love with Hubby and not covering myself up!!! 5. Looking good! 6. Feeling good! 7. Wearing a bathing suit on our Cruise in December instead of shorts and T-shirt! 8. Oh and wearing shorts during the summer instead of Capri's....the list could go on and on!!! Thanks for the great Post - made me remember why I will NOT cheat on my 2 week pre op liqiud only diet!
  5. Hi There! My date is May 19th - I start my 2 week pre op on the 5th - however mine is liquid diet only....no meals at all! I've found on this board that Dr's are so different witht what they want for pre-op! Some are 3 weeks with a lean meal, some are just 3-5 days liquid and some are like me 2 weeks liquid only - so strange! I don;t know what drinks to have - I've read so many suggestions...just don't know! My main things is Mothers Day - we go out for a big brunch and everyone will be eatting but me! They all think I am getting my gallbladder out - maybe I can have eggs or something - I need to ask my Dr cause I don't want to mess it up! have my sleep study tonight - hope I don't have Sleep apnea - don't want that to push my date back! Good Luck to you!!!! You can do it!

  7. Do you all know how long it takes for results to come back?? My surgery is 5/19 and I don't want this thing coming back in 2 weeks then I have to have another study to get fitted or whatever and then it pushes me back - anyone have this problem? thanks

  13. Just wanted to share - BCBS approved my surgery in 1 day!!!! Yeah - I was sooooo nervous when I heard other stories...I am set for May 19th!!!!! :ohmy:
  14. Betsy - thanks for posting this - I start my 2 week pre op soon and I am doing 2 weeks liquid only - this just gave me what I need to do my best!!! Good luck kookaburra - you can do it!!!!! Some people had to do it for 24 days - could you imagine:scared2:

  17. Hi Guys - just saw this and I to went to the pulmonologist and was told I have apnea so I have to go this friday for the study over night...if I have it I just hope it doesn't make me have to move my May 19th surgrey date! Anyone know if it will move my date? thanks
  18. We can drink Crystal Light for pre op???? That is great since I love soda and can't have that - I also hate water but love Crystal Light...that just lifted me up a bit - thanks:thumbup:

  20. i also have BCBS - did you call them - they required a shrink, a certian BMI, 5years worth of Diet history from Dr or jenny craig stuff like that! Good Luck!
  21. Hi All - After all my ultrasounds and stuff - looks like I have gallstones - they said I can get those done at the same times as the LAP-BAND® or wait til after - I figured get it all done at once - anyone else have to get their gallballder out at the same time as being banded???
  22. Hi - you will see a wide range on here - from just one day to 3 weeks - my Dr is a 2 week liquid diet only!!!! I start that May 5th!!!

  25. Yes - I think it is odd that you had not testing done!!! I had 9 viles of blood taken, exrays, ultrasounds, Upper GI's - shrink, and all that - I would ask your Dr and Most insurances require most of these! Good Luck!
