Ice crusher to make smoothies?
Hi - I was wondering if anyone uses something to chop up ice at work to make a smoothie out of a slim fast? I thought about bringing the blender that chops ice - but it is kind of heavy to keep bringing it back and forth from home and work. Does anyone know if there is something small to crush up ice and slim fast for on the go or to keep at work? Thanks

What you want after
Surgery...this post was posted under the May Bandsters by someone else and I thought it was such a great post and it got me motivated to be able to keep on my pre op diet - it reminds me of all the things I am doing this for.....please see below! Posted from GSNC.. I figured it was time to start a new thread! I was thinking last night, after you get your surgery and start losing weight what are some things you are looking forward to do that average people take for granted? I am talking about simple, every day things that are hard for you or make you extend a lot of energy. My list (stacey) Here is what I can't wait to do:blush: OMG - where to begin! 1. walk up steps without losing my breath! 2. walk without my lower back hurting! 3.Able to play with my 6 yr old without having the above:smile2: 4. Making Love with Hubby and not covering myself up!!! 5. Looking good! 6. Feeling good!:scared2: 7. Wearing a bathing suit on our Cruise in December instead of shorts and T-shirt! 8. Oh and wearing shorts during the summer instead of Capri's....the list could go on and on!!! Thanks for the great Post - made me remember why I will NOT cheat on my 2 week pre op liqiud only diet! Good Luck to you all!!!

Do all insurance companies require 6 month pre-op period?
I have Blue Cross Blue Shield in PA - and they do not require it! I have read a lot on here and seems they are all different! You should call and see what is needed - that is the best way ! Good Luck

How did you find out you were approved
I called my Surgeons office to ask if my blood results came in and asked if they submitted everything to my ins and she said - we did that yesterday and you were approved and I was like - they approved me already and she said Yup - BCBS is very easy to deal with! I was very excited and I also didn't belive her (sounded to good to be true) so I called my ins company anyway and they confirmed it for me - I was good to go!!!! 3 weeks to go and I start my new life! Good Luck!

Death is imminent
You were saying you have your Husband's insurance! Does your place of employment offer insurance? If so check them out and maybe they offer what you need and then when it is your annual enrollment - change to yours and you could have the surgery in Jan when the new policy starts!!! Just a thought!!! And FYI - we are all in the same boat of being overweight - we are not here to judge people - we know what that is like - so we would never think you are just sitting around eatting Bon- Bons......Good Luck )
