  1. Hello, I think that is a great idea. I was banded on March 19th 2010 and am down 55lbs I know my ticker says a little less but decided not to change it back seeing that I have been playing back and forth from 188-191lbs since December. I plan to join WW on wednesday and am scheduled to get my 4th fill on Tuesday (it's been 4 months) currently at 5.5cc in 10cc band....I so need a fill. I will keep you posted on my weight loss really need these last 20 something lbs gone.
  2. Hello and yes we made it thru 1 year, I have lost 55 lbs and very excited, would have loved to be down more but I am still excited. I have been fluctuating between 188-191 for 3 months I need a fill really bad. I will be getting my 4th fill on March 29th and it is really needed because my cravings are back and I am eating way to much also thinking about food all the time...that is a sure sign for me. Congratulations to all of us for great success!
  3. Hello, I am from Goldsboro, NC and my decision to get lapband was the best ever. I had surgery on March 19th 2010 with Dr. Enochs in Cary, NC but actual surgery was done at Rex in Raleigh. I am down 57 lbs, starting weight was 246 at initial consult and this morning I weighed 189.2. Please if you have any questions feel free to ask. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Wow, that is so awesome and a confirmation to my decision to just do protein shakes for 2 weeks and fruit and veggies prior to taking a trip to West Africa. A total cleansing is needed for my body. Thanks for posting and God bless!
  5. Please add me Barbara Mitchell Rogers. Thanks

Hello, I have lost 55 lbs since March when I was banded, at consult I weighed 246 day of surgery 239 and now 191. People say I have lost enough but I am still to close to the 200's and my goal is 165..I may feel different when the scale reads 175 I don't know cause have not seen that number since the 7th grade so with that being said I would definetly keep going if I were you. Hope this helps sn: it is getting harder to reach my goal but I will keep pushing through.
  7. OMG!!! i ate soooo bad since Christmas Eve but I am back on the grind today. Counting calorie, measuring my food and of course drinking lots of water. Hopefully the 5 lbs is just fluid cause I have been going to the bathroom a lot from all the water I'm drinking. I am focused on getting these last 25 lbs off....looking forward to maintenance.

I ate pretty bad for 3 days starting out on christmas eve but I am back to measuring my food and counting calories today. Did not like how I felt after putting all those sweets in my body but it's on and popping so I can get these last 25 pounds off. Glad you did well with your eating!

I was stuck at 202 for 3 weeks and it was not a good feelng, so this is what I did....I went on strict Atkins diet for 1 week, ate nothing but meet and veggies I stayed around 1200 calories and sometimes a little less because the protein satisfied me, I loss down to 198.8 in 6 days also I pushed my water, its still moving a little slow but got tired of just meat and veggies so went back on regular diet. My current weight is 193 goal is 160. Hope this helps!
  10. I was feeling that tired and so out of it and I started taking B12 and it has made the world of difference. A friend of mine had the gastric (we have the same surgeon) and she just told me that I can ask for a prescription for the B12 shots and give them to myself. She also said she knows that it helped her get to her goal quicker too. I go back to my bariatric doctor on November 30th and hopefully I can switch to the shot instead of the pill. Hope this helps!

Ok ladies I am in too, My anniversary is 3-19-11 and I would like to weigh 175 lbs current is 193 lbs and my start weight was 246 lbs. I am in a size 12 now but would like to be a 9/10 so let's get it ladies.
  12. Hello, about 3 weeks ago I was feeling sluggish and depressed wondering why, especially after going from 246 lbs to 195 lbs I should have been bouncing off the walls. My sister told me she started taking B-12 (she does not know I have lapband) and it was keeping her balanced and more energy. I started and boy does it make a BIG difference, so I am taking (at bedtime) centrum chewables, B-12, B-6, vitamin D, folic acid and Viactiv calcium chews...now I feel complete and whole again.
  13. Wow and congratulations on your weight loss...I feel the exact same way as you. I started at 246 lbs and am now 195 lbs too, I would like to be a 9/10 as well and 160-165 lbs will do at 5'5" tall. I am finally doing this for me because people are telling me to stop losing but no can do I WILL reach my goal. I am 42 years old and feeling the best I ever felt. I love my BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Congratulations!!! I am so glad you posted this, you did really well on not gaining to much weight while being pregnant. Some people would have used that as an excuse to pig out. Hope I get pregnant soon! Again congrats..
  15. I Have also fallen in love with the sf instant pudding mix..I put 1/4 of the packet in my smoothies also I use Silk unsweetened, 1 sheet of lowfat graham crackers and a few marshmallows and it is soooo good. I Love My Band!!!!!!!!
