  1. Mine does not do any. I see him today and I'm thinking its possible I have esophageal dialation. How do you check for this though? Upper endoscopy, flouro or upper GI?
  2. I haven't lost any weight since my fill. I've actually GAINED 10 pounds:(
  3. I think it's possible that I've stretched my pouch but I'm not sure how I would know that for sure. My surgeon does not do fills under flouro and he really doesn't do any testing to make sure your band is where it should be.
  4. My last fill was in September I believe.
  5. I'm really struggling and I've gained back some weight. The past two weeks its like my fill has just disappeared. I'm starving all the time and I can eat anything I want, even foods I couldn't handle before like bread and pickles. I see my surgeon tomorrow. Could it be possible that I have a leak or what??
  6. Thanks guys! I even noticed my neckbones are more defined. I'm finding bones I forgot I even had:)
  7. Thanks guys! Sirloin is actually my favorite steak ever but the last two were just awful. I try not to get anything too expensive because my husband won't share it with me, I eat medium rare, he eats medium well.
  8. This is an odd question sort of, but bear with me. I normally can eat steak with no problems as long as it's cooked right and I eat it slowly. Our normal steakhouse closed down so we've been going to a local chain grill place. The last two times I've gotten steak there so much of it is wasted. I can't chew it all the way up and I end up spitting it in my napkin because I'm too scared too swallow. It looks normal but it's not chewable. Is it grissle (sp?) in it or what? I'm so dissapointed because I love a good steak and lately I can't get one.
  9. I think that's a your mileage may vary thing. A friend of mine uses them all the time with no problems. If I take even a few sips with one I get pain and gas. I just stay away.
  10. We had family pictures made last night and I keep looking at them thinking, I don't recognize that girl. The last pics we had made were almost 2 years ago. I had just gotten banded. My face was full and rounded. Now it's thin looking and I have lines where I did have fat. It's a total difference. This girl looks happy, thin, and put together. Totally different then 2 years ago. Top is before, bottom is after. Not sure if you guys can see the difference but I can. At first I was like, wait, what are those lines, then I realized they are normal and are just there because my face isn't so full and chunky anymore:)
  11. I like Jay Robb protein powder mixed with Almond Milk. Or Designer Whey French vanilla mixed with almond milk.
  12. I drink diet coke occasionally but I sip it, not chug it. My Dr also says caffeine is fine.
  13. Tightening the band can be a slippery slope. Have you tried counting calories and upping your exercise instead?
  14. Generally you need to see if they even cover bariatrics. Some employers choose not to.
  15. Definitely sit down and let him climb up on your lap. Don't pick him up until your doctor says you can.
  16. How tight are we supposed to be? My doc has always said I should only be able to hold 3 oz. I've always been able to hold more than that though. I've been hungry lately so I went in and had 2.5 cc's added and now I'm tight until lunch and then I can only hold 3 oz and no more. I have to wait an hour after I eat to drink anything and even then I have to drink slowly. Have I finally found my green zone? I know I am finally losing weight again. I was going up and down 7 pounds before this fill.

  18. You definitely have to stop drinking while eating. That will sabotage your weight loss efforts.
  19. Me! I'm battling the same 5 pounds. I track and weigh and measure EVERYTHING! It's so annoying to still be working on the same 5 pounds.
  20. I got a fill about 3 weeks ago. He put in .5 cc's which should have put me at 7 cc's total. Normally at 7 cc's I can't eat bread or chicken and my portions get much smaller. Normally after a fill I also have swelling for 10-14 days where I have to stay on liquids. This last time though my swelling only lasted a few hours and I can still eat anything I want and I'm hungry all the time. Is it possible he missed my port? The PA is the one who did my fill. If he didn't miss my port than is it possible I have a leak? I go back next week I'm assuming he can pull all the Fluid out to measure it, he always does. Is it possible I have a full 7 cc's and it's just not working the same for me? Any thoughts?
  21. It's good to hear from you Amber! I'm glad your revision went well. Did your insurance cover it?
  22. LMBO! Great responses!
