I was banded in October 2011. I have accepted a new position at a different company and am wondering if the band will be considered a 'pre-existing condition'. I'm hoping I don't have any issues getting fills/check ups if needed. I know every insurance policy is different....just wondering if you have any insight on this topic.

If you employer is providing your health insurance preexisting conditions are usually not a problem. More of an issue is if your company insurance covers bariatrics. If they don't you will have to pay for fills on your own.

Generally you need to see if they even cover bariatrics. Some employers choose not to.
