  1. I can see your point there but, this doctor he uses is one that I would NEVER go to. His main specialty is pain management. He has a bad Rep in my community and his nurse is so mean and rude that if you Google reviews on him you can see where his patients say that they hate dealing.g with her because she is a total witch. In the meantime, I called Allergan about it and the Supervisor said she would have to check into it farther. She said she was not aware that they certify doctors unless they are surgeons. She didn't find the doctors name anywhere in their database.
  2. I got a letter from surgeon today stating that all after care, including fills will now be done by another doctor. The surgeon has partnered with a FAMILY DOCTOR. The letter states this family doctor will do all our bariatric aftercare PLUS he offers hormone analysis, genetic testing and TOXICITY testing. I'm fuming! I don't need or want any of that and I used to work with the nurse at the family docs office and she's a huge PITA!! I refuse to go there. I called my surgeons office and the coordinator said she will see if the surgeon will make SPECIAL consideration for me. I'm so mad that I don't care anymore, I want a new surgeon. My surgeon is still in practice they just say he's TOO BUSY to do after care. I have insurance that paid for my band. How hard will it be to find a new surgeon now??
  3. I think it is but my PCP said that hormonal depression is best treated with Prozac. I was on Prozac for years without much of a change. Ive had a hysterectomy but I'm wondering if it is hormonal if birth control pills would help. I'm hoping my OB/GYN will know more about that and be able to help me. Currently I'm on Wellbutrin 300 Mg and Lexapro 40. At first the Wellbutrin curbed my appetite and cravings but now it really doesn't do that anymore. Ive been on it since August.
  4. I actually did wonder if it was hormonal but my PCP said no. I've had it for 16 years now. I see my OB/Gyn again next month so I'm going to ask him about it also.
  5. I'm hoping to take some in the next couple of days and post them. I feel so AWESOME!! Seriously. This was nothing like what I thought it would be, it's so much easier.
  6. Congratulations!!! I know you feel awesome!
  7. Good luck hun! I just had mine last month and I can honestly say it wasn't that bad and it was SOOO worth it!!
  8. I have depression and I'm now seeing a psychiatrist for it. Even on meds I have 2 weeks where I'm still pretty depressed and then 2 weeks where I feel super good. The problem? When I feel super good, my appetite is gone and I get full on small amounts of food. If I over eat I can tell b/c I can feel the pain in my chest from the band. When I'm depressed though, I'm hungry all the time and I eat constantly. I never get that full feeling, or any pain in my chest at all. It's like my band isn't even there. How is that possible? I have another appt with my Psych doc Friday and I'm planning to see what he thinks about this also but really, when I'm depressed and starving I would for sure feel pain if I was actually over eating right?
  9. This is interesting! I'll have to read up on it.
  10. Not sure if they do this where you live but here they place a pain pump in your abdomen after doing a TT or a combo TT/hernia repair. IMO it's the best thing. I hope you really aren't in too much pain and you bounce back quickly.
  11. It's a surgical method where they place extra tension sutures. The extra sutures holds all the skin tighter and prevents excess fluids from pooling. You swell less and there are no drain tubes at all. It takes your PS a little longer in surgery but IMO it's worth it in the end. The only issue I had was a seroma but mine opened up and drained on it's own without needing to be aspirated.
  12. Not possible, I've seen your body:) It's amazing at the things it pulls up that you don't even think about.
  13. I haven't checked in for a while now. I had my tummy tuck a couple of weeks ago and I'm doing awesome! I'm even maintaining my weight loss. I was scared of gaining weight while I was sitting around the house doing nothing but so far so good:)
  14. Personally, I don't care how well respected your surgeon is I would get a second opinion before I let him try again. Were you sent home on antibiotics?
  15. Before I had my TT, I also wanted a thigh lift. The upper inner parts of my thighs were saggy and just didn't look good in a swimsuit. I also wanted breast implants and my surgeon would only do 2 procedures at a time so I chose the TT and implants. Well now I don't really need the thigh lift. It turns out if most of your thigh sag is at the very top and your doc does a really good TT that skin will be stretched and pulled up when they pull up all the groin skin. I'm not saying my thighs are beautiful and perfect now but they definitely are not saggy enough for me to spend the money or time on a thigh lift. I am so happy with my figure now:)
  16. Mine was only 2.2 pounds but my plastic surgeon said that I didn't have as much loose skin as most weight loss patients have. I'm not even 3 weeks out and my scale already shows the 2.2 pounds:) but I had a no drain tummy tuck so the swelling is supposed to better with that method. Good luck to you! You will LOVE your results!
  17. Congrats to you! I went back and forth on getting my done but I'm so glad I did. I'm in love with them now:)
  18. Thanks everyone! I still haven't had any pain. My biggest complaint is that I cant sleep in my bed. I don't sleep good at night anyway and this recliner isn't helping that. I had everything do.e at once and my boobs are no problem. I can lay on my side and they never bother me but I wake up with my hips hurting and sort of stiff. I just want my bed back.
  19. Oh and still, no pain:) I had a drain free yummy tuck. That may be why I have less pain and swelling, not sure though.
  20. I think most of mine was just lax muscles. My PS said that my belly looks normal for a post pregnant woman but he expected it to look way worse with an 80 poundloss. He was impressed. Tomorrow will be 1 week Post Op. I feel really good and very pleased with my results. For the Tummy tuck, muscle repair, breast lift and breast implants it was $11,000 total. That was hospital and anesthesia fees included. I didn't think that was too bad at all.
  21. I am so glad that you are doing good now! I understand your fears, but your results will br so worth it.
  22. Well now it works. For some reason you can use the mobile version on Kindle but not the desktop version. I got the Fire so I could read and surf but I'm starting to think I should return it for an iPad.
  23. I can see and read the forums on my Kindle but I can't post a new topic or reply to a topic. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!
  24. How sweet:) Since you don't like it does that mean you are volunteering to clean it up? I have 3 kids, one is a toddler that's always needing me and the other 2 are high strung and have ADHD. I'm also a full time college student. We own our own small business and my husband works 50-60 hours a week. I finished up my finals this past Friday and had just enough time to catch up on bare basics before my surgery day. One woman can only do so much by herself. SMDH at your manners.
  25. I just got a lift and implants on Tuesday. I got gummy bear gels, 400 cc's placed sub muscular. I've had no pain or problems with mine. I was even able to put pull on shirts on the day after surgery-typically they say it takes 3-4 days before you can do that. So far my recovery has been awesome and uneventful and I didn't even use peas, or ice for that matter:)
