  1. Honestly you look smaller than that:) Looking good!!
  2. I always take my morning meds with hot coffee, they go down much easier! Good luck on your journey!
  3. Here's a link to the ones I'm talking about. Some flavors have caffeine and some don't. I do try to eat my protein but some days I still need a little extra liquid protein. http://www.proteintogo.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=52
  4. I would think that revising to the sleeve would help you keep the weight off and without it you would just regain. It's interested to see all the thoughts on this. I know I would need surgical intervention to stay where I am at.
  5. Occasionally I get this weird sensation when I'm eating. My food sort of feels like is burning as it goes down. It feels like when you have Strep Throat and try to eat something like chips and you just feel irritated the whole time your eating. Is that from the food being too dry or just that it's getting slightly stuck in general? It does seem to be with certain foods and not all foods. Mostly crunchy things like chips or tator tots, I only eat that stuff occasionally but it doesn't seem to like me.
  6. It's funny you say that because with my band I'm actually not able to eat a whole lot of healthy foods like veggies or lean meats. I was a die hard Weight Watcher fan before my mind and I know everything about healthy foods but I have a huge appetite so diet alone wasnt working for me.
  7. Oh and I can't do bread either.
  8. I go through periods when mine gets tighter than it used to be. If my sinuses are bothering me I get really tight!
  9. I've started running and I actually like it:) It really surprised me that I enjoy it so much. I need to start weight training though.
  10. When my surgeon does it it doesn't hurt but the PA kills me every time. He has to dig for my port. I do it with my kids with me. I just grit my done and bite my tongue.
  11. This is something that has nagged at the back of my mind ever since I was banded. My band worked, I'm skinny now and don't have high blood pressure or GERD anymore. My self esteem is great and I love the way I look but wait, what if something happens to my band? For me I guess I would try the sleeve next. Not to be a Debbie Downer but have any of you thought about this? What would you do?
  12. Mine sticks out like a tumor also:) I can see and feel it but it doesn't hurt. Sleeping on it is no problem!
  13. It's also possible that the doctors didn't really know what was wrong so they placed the blame on the slipped band.
  14. I do agree that they should have removed it. I think they should have removed it as soon as she was stabilized.
  15. Do you think she really passed from her Lap Band or were the seizures just a coincidence and not related to the band slipping? I had this surgery done because its so safe.
  16. My dollar general has them and most of our convenience stores do too. They ate everywhere here and they are new so I'm curious about them.
  17. Yes. The only time I was comfortable with the way I looked is when I was in high school and weighed 125. My surgeon said he thinks it's fine if I want to lose more but sometimes I think I should stop losing and be happy where I am.
  18. Protein shakes will definitely help you.
  19. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what is your weight and what size are you?
  20. Tammy, are you self pay or insurance? Ive always wondered how hard it is to get insurance to cover a replacement band if your BMI is in a normal range.
  21. HOw do you pick your goal weight? Initially I said a size 8 then I got there and said no a 6. Now at 150 pounds I'm a size 4 and to me my waist still doesn't look that small. I suppose I'm having body image issues. What's your advice?
