What tests does your lap band surgeon do post op?

Mine does not do any. I see him today and I'm thinking its possible I have esophageal dialation. How do you check for this though? Upper endoscopy, flouro or upper GI?

I had an Upper GI done to just make sure everything was working properly. I am glad I did, because it just helps rule out any possible question of leaks or malfunctions. I am not sure what your doctor will do for you but I wish you all the best in the world. Please be sure to check back with us and let us know how it goes. Blessings ~

I just asked my surgeon last week what future test will I get or need. He told me on my first year band anniversary (July 25, 2013) I will have a full panel blood work and xrays.

I already had blood work done from my own PCP 2 weeks ago, I didn't want to wait a year for blood work. I will repeat the same bloodwork in July.

**Note, if I had concerns about my band prior to a year I would address it with my surgeon so he could take precautions***
