Another 'how long did it take' question
I go for all those tests this friday and my surgery is on the 22nd. I did the psych eval early on - it was such a joke - just a insurance hoop to jump and make me spend out of my pocket first. (my insurance sucks fyi) I pay everything up to $2000. out of my pocket then they kick in and pay only $5000 towards my band - then i pay the rest ugh

Not losing weight during the liquid diet

Too fat to graduate
OMG like fat people haven't had it hard enough. This ticks me off College's too-fat-to-graduate rule under fire - CNN.com How about a class for skinny people to put on weight or smokers to quit or alcoholics to stop drinking. Fat is the just the next target to pick on - they don't realize that we've been picked on and we have rage built up to fight back. Being overweight is one's on struggle - a college degree shouldn't be based on looks.

Tomorrow is the big day!

Humana Employee wants surgery
I'm also a Humana Employee. our coverage sucks as employees. I'm doing the band anyways. My health is to important. I'm hoping the insurance write off is huge. as my Dr.'s are in network. I'm going with Dr. Schuster at St's mary & Elizabeth. My pre-op deductible is roughly $2000. then I'll have to make payments on what is left over after surgery.

Lap Band of Louisville Questions
Dr. Schuster is my surgeon also. I'm scheduled for Dec. 22. I was told it's around $17k without insurance or out of network. I have insurance and was approved - however my policy only provides a $5000 max. I'll have to put $2000 down for my deductible and then I'm going to make payments on the rest. Hopefully the insurance write off is huge.

New guy getting the band for xmas
Hi all, I'm Dusty from Mt. Washington, Kentucky - just outside of Louisville. I'm so excited to be getting my band on Dec. 22.:thumbup: My Surgeon is Bryce Schuster. I can't wait to get the weight off and begin a healthier lifestyle. I have a goal to learn to play ice hockey in an adult league when the wieght comes off. Just something I've always wanted to do but never was able to. Now I have a chance. I hope to meet a lot of fellow bandsters and get advise and support. Pre-op Pic
