Another 'how long did it take' question

Monday morning I go in for a stomach x-ray, EKG, chest x-ray, lab work, and an appointment with the nutritionist. Then, on Wednesday I go in for my psychiatric evaluation. After that I am done with what the insurance requires to get approval. My question is how long does it take for the results of all of these tests to get to the doctor's office so they can submit it to the insurance company?

I had all my labs/upper gi at the hospital I'm having the surgery at, so my doc was able to look at the results the same day. The psych eval took about 10 days to get back. Good luck!

Thanks for the quick responce!

Everything is at the same hospital for me also, including the psych eval.

Then it probably will be even quicker for you than that! Now you just have to hope the insurance is quick to approve. I was very lucky in that respect. Hopefully you will be too!

I hope so, too. Thanks!

I go for all those tests this friday and my surgery is on the 22nd. I did the psych eval early on - it was such a joke - just a insurance hoop to jump and make me spend out of my pocket first. (my insurance sucks fyi) I pay everything up to $2000. out of my pocket then they kick in and pay only $5000 towards my band - then i pay the rest ugh

Wow, that would be over $8000 for me if my insurance worked that way. Surgery is $15,000 with my doctor. That includes the hospital stay and anesthesia.

My insurance will cover all of my pre tests.
