  4. I do agree that in some cases had they went thru what we have..waited for a couple of years and then had to pay out of our own pockets they may have done things differently. I do look at it as a lifestyle change and want to make sure I am eating things now that I will eat for the rest of my life..I do not want to only eat things now that once I hit my goal that I eat differently and will gain weight so I eat everything under the sun..just very small portions. So my description of spaghetti is 3 small meatballs and 4 noodles chopped very well..so I still eat it but nothing like I used to. I never was into the cake part..just the icing..now I lost the taste for sweets. I do have a recipe for a cool whip/jello pie..it has 3 calories...if I am really craving something for desert I make it. My dad calls it the fly away pie because it is so light but it is light and fluffy and even the nutritionist said it is somewhat good for you. Anyway...I know I rattled on a little too much there but that is my two cents for the night. Glad you went to support. It sounds a lot like my group!!
  6. Yeah it is amazing the changes we go thru!! My doctor firmly believes that walking and IF you can throw in swimming that is all the exercise you need. I am living proof that it works. That is all I do well besides chase a 3 yr old boy!! I eat just about every food there is besides sweets (I have lost that taste bud..I do try them..just don't like them any more) and I consistently lose weight! I am with you..how can I be so lucky?? I think it has more to do with having such a positive out look! Good luck with that dating life and the love of beans..I am still laughing on that one!! Take care and keep up the great work!!

I know I would love to thank God for your mom and dad for bringing you into the world!! I look forward each and every day for seeing your blog! It is so open and honest. I can also relate to so much of it. You are such a wonderful person from the inside out! Take care and continue blogging!!
  8. I am with LoseIt..that sounds interesting! Keep us posted!! 31 lbs down. You are doing fabulous!!! Be careful on this fill. If you feel the least bit tight go in right away for an unfill. Being too tight does more damage than good..always remember that. Take care and keep up the great work!!!
  9. I hope you had the best birthday ever you little feather!!! I know exactly how you feel!! Last year was my 40th and I didn't even want to celebrate it!! Last night I was at a party and I was the same size as all of the other 30 something girls there!! It was so awesome!!! Lots of hugs going your way!!! Take care!!
  10. At least you got to taste it..not bragging but I held out until I lost 100lbs and my treat was to get my first ice cream. Believe me ice cream would be my downfall if I would have ate it any sooner!!! I was soooo excited!! I do believe I am one of the few bandsters who CAN NOT eat ice cream!! yes, read it again..can not eat ice cream!! I think god is trying to protect me. I took two bites and slimed for a 1/2 hour!!! I told my doctor..he of course said "Michele, I don't want you to be eating ice cream!" (he is kind of strict) and he must of told his partner because when I saw him in the hallway he joked with me.."So, I heard you can't eat ice cream? That is really odd. Most people can?" I can eat yogurt, hot chocolate made with milk and all other dairy products..just not ice cream!!!! So I am glad it melted..just joking!!! Glad the Wii worked out! Have a good evening!
  11. As Bklynike said once you have control..you take one or maybe two bites..get that satisfaction and you are done. Nothing wrong with that otherwise you will eat everything until you satisfy the craving and that usually adds up to way more calories..eating all the wrong things plus the craving. I eat one oreo or two max..not the who sleeve..craving is satisfied and I am happy with myself. I might do this once a month. Take care of yourself and keep your chin up! Think positive and you will be fine!

I think you look absolutely fabulous..I know this may sound like the normal compliment..but you can see it in your face BUT I see it in your eyes. Know that I have before and after pictures I can see how tired you looked before..now you don't. You look refreshed. You also look thinner but the refreshed part was my takeaway from the photos!! You keep going..you are doing terrific!! Now I can't wait for the tummy tuck and the reconstructive breast surgery!! Yea You!!
  13. Azstonewall..don't get discouraged it can take a couple of fills before you feel the restriction as well it sometimes takes a few days before the restriction actually "kicks in". I know that sounds funny but that has happened to me before..at first it didn't feel like anything and then a few days later..bam..restriction. Yes...take your vitamins and walk or do whatever exercise you are suppose to..they will make you a lot healthier and make you lose weight a lot quicker!! Take care!
  14. I agree with you and imaluckydog...it is by far the best decision I have ever made and yes I had to pay for it myself as well. Sometimes paying for it out of your own pocket does help motivate you also though.. Take care!!!

prayers going out to you!! luck is going your way!!!
  17. Pointbeach..please stay connected with this site but I also want you to go to more support groups as well. Althougth I love going to my support group so that I can see other bandsters face to face the one complaint that I have and I do not know how to change it is that 99% of all the attendees to most support groups are SUCCESSFUL...those who really need the support are not brave like yourself and go!! You were very brave and strong and actually went! I hope you spoke or actually roared so people could open thier hearts up to you and give you support! It takes a lot of courage to be there when everyone is going on about all of thier success and you are the only one saying "you failed". You are not a failure. That is the past, you have already taking the bull by the horn and are taking the right steps!! I am woman hear me roar!!! Please stay positive and you CAN do this!! Take care!
  18. Yes I should have added to my statement as emetyb01 said..if you flush your protein then you will be hungry sooner..so you need to keep your protein in you as long as possibly can.

Moderation is the key to success! I never once looked at this as a diet. This is a lifestyle change. I eat everyday foods but very small amounts. I never say that I will "never eat" that again because I will more than likely eat it again. With that being said there are some foods that I have put on a list that I can't eat but it is very small list (5 things) and in no way do I feel deprived. Considering I have lost 105 lbs in 7 1/2 months I would do this again in a heart beat!! I wish you the very best!! Good luck on your journey!!
  20. What you actually do is "wash" down the protein you just ate is basically is the simpliest way to put it. Once you start getting fills (or restriction) you will not be able to (or should not be able to). I actually get stuck if I have anything (and I many anything) to drink while I eat. A couple of ideas that might help is to make sure you do not make yourself anything to drink so there isn't any tempation or to make yourself a glass of ice and set it on the counter and when it has melted then you will have an ice cold glass of water. Yes, old habits are hard to break but an old saying is that it only takes 21 days to make a new habit..so do it for 21 days and then it will be old news!! I know you can do it!!! Take care!!
  21. I see my surgeon every month. He is the one who does my fills. The nurse only does my blood pressure and so forth. He does all of the rest..how am I doing, what am I eating. Actually the entire office staff (from the dr down) and I have became friends since I have now known them for over 3 years. He has done a few other surgeries on me as well as I fought the insurance company for 2 years.

I personally do not use it but of heard of others on here posting it in there recipes! You will do wonderful tomorrow! I will include you in my prayers tonight and tomorrow! The best thing I can tell you is as soon as you possibly can..get up and walk! That will help you relieve that gas. As soon as you can do that the better you will feel!! Take good care and you will do great!!

I know what you mean about putting your family into to day..was I doing the right thing or not. I am so so happy I went with my heart!! I am also so happy to hear your attitude. You will succeed. The right attitude is a huge portion. It keeps you focused and that is so important!!
  24. Fantastic!!! I am doing the same thing!! I have been toting around these clothes that I haven't worn in years..now I go on "shopping sprees". They are awesome!! and of course the fond memories that go along with them are great as well. They are soooo motivating!! Keep up the great work!!!
