I Am 60!!! Years Oldand Things are Bleak
This was the real cause of W.C. Field's whisky nose, I've been told. If I were you I would consult with a good dermotologist or plastic surgeon. I emphasize good because you need a doc who is hip to all the latest techniques. My roseacea is not the acne type and is situated on my cheeks. It merely makes 'em look rosy unless you are standing up close and personal. I guess I am fortunate.... I do have bacne, teenage skin on my back, and, man, it is itchy!

Eat your protein first and vegies second, eat small amounts, and I know that this will happen to you. (I am trying to give up smoking at the moment so I am kinda worried about gaining. )

Just an Update
Or you could get rid of it. (Why not give it to lala? She wants one.) Then you can continue on with your academic studies instead of changing diapers and being really strapped for cash. You could also decide whether you want to stay with this boyfriend or trade him in on a better model down the road. Living with a party boy is no fun when you are a 30 year old woman with ambitions and a kid. And this may be your fate a decade from now. I know my advice may sound harsh but I thought I would toss it at you. You see, I used to be a party girl myself when I was in university. I also had ambitions to travel, and to live a life where I wasn't tied down. I felt that this would be the right choice for me, and it was. My life has been and continues to be interesting. I've also been involved with a number of interesting men after my divorce from my charming and unreliable ex-husband, the musician. All of these guys were upgrades on the first model. All of them have had real careers and many of them have been extremely well educated. The guy with whom I have been living common-law for the past 22+ years is a real doll. He is kind-hearted, generous, hard working, loving, accepting of me, and rock solid. He also loves to travel. :bounce: And like you, I do suffer from a psychiatric illness - depression in my case, though I had been diagnosed with BPD and as being bi-polar at various times in my past. I have personally never wanted a baby and I sure wasn't mother material. The question I think you have to ask yourself is whether you want this baby at this time in your life? Good luck to you from Green.

:whoo:I have lost a lot of weight since last September 7, the day when I was banded. I now wear size 10 pants, something that I never figured that I would be able to do again in this lifetime. Many, many people (most of them folks who live in the neighbourhood whom I don't know all that well) have commented that I have lost a lot of weight. Sometimes they ask me if I am well.... I explain that I am, that I am now retired and am watching what I eat and am making a point of doing a lot of walking, all of which is true. The truth is that I have noticed no difference with respect to my own energy levels and I have always been physically very flexible - unco-ordinated and lousy at sports - but very flexible. Even as a fat grrl I was able to stretch, bend, cross my legs, and place my palms flat on the floor just by bending over from a standing position. And I also still see myself as a big grrl. This is why I asked my husband what differences he has noticed in me over this past year. My husband says that I am sweating less and that I am not as cranky as I used to be. He also says that I look better. He is also the one who still marvels at my weight loss. And I have got to admit, now that I am sitting here thinking about it, that my sense of self-confidence really has improved. Even though I still see the fattie grrl when I look in my mirror I do know that she is not really there anymore and I now do have a greater sense of confidence in my physical appearance. :bounce: Before being banded, I had really come to loathe and fear my out of control fleshly envelope; I felt that it not only had nothing to do with the essential Green but that it was in fact her active enemy. :tired This was a sad time in my life. I have recently had the experience of being referred to as, ahem, tiny on a handful of occasions, one of them being by the post-op nurse who will be looking after me after my face lift. (I almost passed out with shock and pleasure, eh.) :bounce: Tiny Green still wears a size 10.5 shoe. LOL

Intimacy
want2be, I think that BJean has given you great advice. Remember that he is likely to be feeling as insecure and bashful about his own body as you are feeling about yours. And from what you have said it sounds like he is really, really into you. Remember that when we love people we love their bodies and often find their imperfections kind of adorable.

Major Reflux, No Restriction, & Very Little Recent Weight Loss = Stretched Pouch
This is the 4th day of my non-smoking regime. :tired Man, do I miss smoking! :omg: Man, do I miss a filled band! :phanvan And I don't feel as calm or as intelligent as I used to, either. I still have that creepy little reflux cough. :rain:

Why are so many White Women marrying Black Men?
I believe that there are areas of the United States which are more racist and more homophobic, for that matter, than others. This is why I think that this is a valuable topic for discussion. It sounds like you are lucky that you live in a place where acceptance is the norm. Of course in an ideal world this is how life would be....everywhere.

Thread Killers
Oh, how I detested Cusano! I must admit, though, that I am inclined to dislike most fundies. I find their lack of skepticism to run so utterly against the way in which I was raised to approach the world. I was taught to study, examine, and analyse. I was also taught to be fearful of group-think: I suspect that my family's terror of this came from my father's family being more or less erased during the time of the Holocaust. I have also noted from reading the posts of those fundies who post on an atheists' website to which I belong that these individuals are often shockingly deficient in grammar and spelling skills.

Major Reflux, No Restriction, & Very Little Recent Weight Loss = Stretched Pouch
I am still defilled, running on empty, because I am still kind of reflux-y. I sure do miss my band although I don't have anything like the appetite I used to have and I do continue to eat carefully. I know that I will miss my band even more now that I am in the process of quitting smoking. It was being an oral grrl which got me into difficulties with my weight and now my other favourite oral activity is gone, too. Oh, ugh! :phanvan I sure am chewing a lot of gum. I don't like chewing gum. It's a lousy substitute for a good meal and a smoke. I sure do miss my band.... It's gonna have to be willpower for Green at the present. :tired Haven't heard from Mike in awhile. Mike, tell us how you're doing?? :bounce:

I Am 60!!! Years Oldand Things are Bleak
As for Botox, I wear my hair with bangs instead. This is what French women of a certain age do. It is much less labour intensive, far cheaper, and a grrl still gets to display her displeasure in life, an important thing for cranky Green. :heh:
