Delayed Restriction After A Fill
After being on liquids for a few days, you probably won't feel anything. But, going back on normal foods you will. If you have a stuck episode, you will be swollen, too! So you might need to go back to liquids again. If you continue having trouble, you might be too tight and need a slight unfill. Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

Menopause And The Lapband
I am sorry, I don't have a clue on this. I had my hysterectomy when I was 32. But for years following it, I would get the feeling of going into my time of the month. So, it kind of fits that you would get the :"feeling" of your tom. But, as mrsto said, you should check with your surgeon as to why you can't eat/drink during that time. Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

Best Protein Drink For Supplement? Opinions Please!
Unfortunately, what tastes good to some, won't taste good to others, so, you may have to shop around for what you like. I like from GNC bpi sports Weight loss premium Protein (whey )vanilla cream.I have this in the am with a banana and strawberry. This smoothie tides me over until afternoon. My surgeon doesn't have a problem with drinking a protein smoothie and many other folks do too! Karen..aka..kll724

What do you order at restaurants after weight loss surgery?
BillieG, I haven't had a fill in about 1 1/2 years. I can't tolerate more fill than I have in my band already. I am in maintenance. I don't eat sandwiches like bacon cheesburgers! I usually have fish when going out. I sometimes have chicken, but dry breast are hard for me to eat. You are right about fills and getting used to smaller portions. You have it about right! Once you get to "green" and are eating small amounts, you really don't need fills as much anymore. Best wishes! Karen

5 Week Post Op... Band Fill Question For The Newbie
Wow! you're doing great! Can't remember 1st fill. But, after each fill, my surgeon requires 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids! I know that is drastic, but did not kill me. The fill is usually just a small needle and my surgeon numbs my port. A lot of people tend to get a great amount of weightloss immediately after their fills. You might feel a bit of restriction, depending on how much a fill you get. Usually you don't get to green immediately, tho'. Best wishes. Karen...aka..kll724

When To Get First Fill?
Many people don't have to have their 1st fill right away. As B-52 said, if you are losing on your surgeon's schedule, about 1-2 pound a week, then you might not need or want a fill. Make sure that you can find a local fill center, or doctor that will treat you. Many surgeons are willing to take new patients even if they did not do the surgery.Best luck in your after care and surgery. Karen
