  1. As the commercial and other sites say,"Never, ever give up." Sometimes the road a hea dis bumpy, but you can get there if you keep trudging ahead! Happy New year and new you, too! Karen..aka.kll724
  2. Thanks for the updates, everyone, especially Alex! Your research is vitally invaluable to us on this site. Happy New year, Karen..aka..kll724
  3. No comment except, best wishes, and here's hoping that they find an answer for a better new year for you! Karen..aka..kll724
  4. My port is tilted due to my weightloss. But, I like others have never heard of a tilted band. My surgeon was able to take out fill when he discovered it. He suggested that a t some point I may want it replaced with a smaller port. Possibly this is your problem, too! Best wishes, and I agree have the tests done. if you are not having a problem, i would not think you have to worry! Karen..aka..kll724
  5. I was extremely lazy and did not get a new drivers license until mine expired, but enjoyed the looks I got from people seeing the old one! My passport I never had until I had lost my 100 lbs, so never had that trouble! Time to get the new one B-52, I guess that means to fork over another big bucks to the govt.! Happy New year, Karen..aka..kll724
  6. No advice, just wanted to wish you happy New Year and happy baby! Congrats! Many ladies ahve goen thru this so hopefully some can give you their advice on the subject! Karen..aka..kll724
  7. I agree Terry, that is a really drastic fill. Yes, you might need to talk with a nutritionist, too. I am currently at 5 cc in a 10 cc band. That is all I can or ever have been able to tolerate and still eat. Reread what Terry has said, it is very thoughtfully written. I hope that you take her advice. There does seem to be something wrong with your band if you can tolerate it that tight and still eat "everything"! Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724
  8. I don't enjoy steak, pork chops or most red meat anylonger. I eat a lot of fish, and some chicken. I,agree, that you can eat healthy and get your Protein in other ways. Happy New Year, Karen..aka..kll724
  9. I do not eat steak! I, also, trie dit once thinking that I could chew it okay. I ended up in the rest room. Steak is NOT my friend! Glad that you are feeling better, next time try some coke. It works like Roto-rooter, also, pineapple juice, helps to keep both around, just akes an ounce or two for the problem to clear. Happy New year, Karen..aka..kll724
  10. Probably gas! Take it easy, it has only been two days. By the way, my shoulder pain from gas did not start for about 5 days after surgery. You could be experiencing a multitude of things right now. Take your pain meds if you have them, or if not try some Tylenol liquid available at most drug stores. Best wishes for a Happy 2014 and new you, too! Karen..aka..kll724
  11. Right on, as usual, B-52!
  12. Well Happy New year, Nikki-Anne! I hope that you can get your fill and now recommit to losing your weight in the new year. It sounds like you are starting on the right path. Best wishes, for a new you in the New year. Karen..aka.kll724
  13. Just try not to overdo. Stretching will also cause pain. Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724
  14. The main thing, if you go to the mall, or walking, make your walk slow. Right now, you are not in the race, you are just trying to heal. I, also, went shopping. Hubby on one side and pushing a grocery cart, once it got too heavy, gave it to hubby. My point is, you might nee a support system if you go shopping. Normal is relative, one persons normal is not the same as others normal. I never felt "normal" for a long time. Normal for me, was to eat a huge 3 course meal, most of the time you won't be able to do so once you are adjusted properly. Normal was to sit around, once I got my lapnad, and was feeling better, I did not sit around, I, like B-52, was at the gym daily. So, going for your normal is not always where you want to be. Best wishes and happy New Year and new you. Karen..aka..kll724
  15. Normally, it is not how much clear liquids you can drink. Just sip them, don't guzzle anything, either now or ever with the band! If you are constantly sipping, it is not a big deal. You might never reach the enough to eat on full liquids. Just sip what you can. Once you move from clear to full, then you can start worrying if you have had too much! Best wishes for the new you in the New Year. Karen..aka..kll724
  16. Wow! you ladies are looking good!Happy New year!
  17. My surgeon says 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids, so if you are still swollen, it is pretty normal. You said that you can get liquids and mushies. I agree with the others to wait and see. best wishes, Happy New Year. Karen..aka..kll724
  18. Mea culpa, Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa! Okay, you are forgiven. Now, sounds like you have started anew. So happy new you in the New Year. Karen..aka.kll724
  19. And due to the band, you are more likely to pb than to truly vomit. Vomiting can and will cause slippage, I am not sure that pb'ing will. But any questions like this should be addressed to your surgeon's office. Happy New year. Karen..aka.kll724
  20. I think that they have coaches at the Planet Fitness gyms. Best wishes, everyone looks out of place when they 1st start. Best wishes, happy New Year and new you! Karen..aka.kll724
  21. Thanks tmf! Happy New Year everyone!
  22. Best wishes, as others have said, just because you have a slip, doe not mean the band is ruined! I had to have a surgery for band revision, it did not need to be replaced. I am good now, 2 years ago, I was too tight, too! As others have said, you need to be your own advocate. I wish you best luck and hope that you can recover something, if you decide to sue. Karen...aka..kll724
  23. Congrats and best wishes! It sounds like you are on the right path! Happy New year!Karen..aka.kll724
  24. You can use some cocoa butter cream around the incisions, too! I remember the itching! Best wishes, you are on the healing path! Happy New year, Karen..aka.kll724
  25. Hi Misty, sounds like you are off to a great start! Happy New Year and new you!
