  1. good for you.... but you see what i mean by people telling... and it was your own parents.... Promise you @walkthewalk you will never regrate NOT telling. Start exercising and when people start to ask... tell them the truth like me.... Crossfit and portion control. Which is 100% truth.
  2. don't tell anyone..... keep it to yourself.
  3. when i had my band place in 2009 my husband did everything in his power to stop me. You see he had absolute control over me. He controlled me, money, the house, everything.... I had zero self-esteem and self-worth. For years he told me that no other man would want me because i was fat.... Well i finally stood up for myself and did the band anyway. I was 232lbs and 5'2".... and at the end of 2 years i was at my best weight 143lbs. He hated the weight loss. He accused me of sleeping with everyone. Anyway, i also had a TT in 2012... and boy did he hate that even more.... Over the years i realized that i was stronger than i gave myself credit for. and in Jan 2016 i told him that if things didn't change i was filing for divorce in July he moved out. He tried everything to convince me to change my mind..but in January 2017 i filed, i lost the band a few months later.... but it didn't matter... even if i had gained every lb back i was still going to be happier. Don't let anyone control you like I did.... i was married to him for 26 years.... Now i'm the happiest i have ever been. My kids asked... what too me so long.
  4. My journey started in 2009 with the band. I am 5'2" and my SW with the band was 232lbs. My weight for 7+ years was 143. In march 2017 i got the flu and my band slipped and had to have emerg. removal. I search everywhere for a dr. to do a revision because i knew that i couldn't control my weight alone. Everyone said the same thing.... You don't weigh enough... Over the next 2.5 years, i put on 30lbs. and still, i was told i didn't weigh enough. I was weeks from going to Mex when i found my dr. here. He qualified me as a revision. So 8/28/19 i was revised to the sleeve. Starting weight 173.5 (bmi 30-31) Of course i was also cash pay. 14k. today i weigh 134.6lbs.
  5. i would look into more of WHAT you are eating than how much. Are you tracking your food? If no is your answer.... Start now. It really make a diff..... I know during the 2.5 years after band removal i was eating "bad" foods and i was drinking a lot... Wine, margaritas, cocktails with meals. I was also drinking with my meal instead of waiting till after i was done. Are you portioning out your meal? If not, start now.... i use an 1/8 cup. I do 1/8 protein, 1/8 veggie, 1/8 of other. Never eat more than that even if i'm still hungry.

You are crazy.... your hips are great.... you have a perfect figure...
  7. Yes.... i lived on wonton soup (with out the wontons)... just drank the broth. Some dr. allow egg drop soup. I also did other soups and just strained out the big chunks so all i was left with was the broth (fluid).
  8. 100% agree. When i had my band i never went in for "unfills"... i just adjusted my portion sizes... I learned valuable lessons in all those years and i truly believe it's why even after my band removal and being without i gained only 30lbs..... That being said, it still was 30lbs and on someone 5'2".. it's not a good look. I went from 143 to 173.5 in 2.5 years..... Did i look terrible...No, Did i feel terrible... YES... I felt like a failure even though i didn't have any tool I thought i should have been able to control my eating better. I quickly was reminded what "hunger" felt like again. With the band, i was never hungry. I didn't have to have the sleeve done and in any other situation, i would not have even qualified for it. But because i had had the band my dr did it as a revision (2.5 years later). And because i was lucky enough to have 14k in my bank account. I worry about the pouch stretching.... this is why i portion everything... and If i'm still hungry.. too bad, i just go hungry. As of today i at 135.... SX 8/28/19 Feeling like my old self again.... all my clothes that were too tight now either fit or are to big.... whoop whoop.
  9. First question... How old are you? I had my Lapband at 42 and by 44ish... my sex drive went through the roof. Did it start when you got WLS? Are has it just started? I'm now 51 and i could still go every day. I started menopause about a year ago and found it's not as "intense" as it was. But i still have the desire. Most of the time (not all) people become more sexual after WLS.

Any one what this dress? It is now too big. Cleaning out the closet.... also have some size 10 and 6 dress pants. I bought his dress because i had a mad crush on Christina Hendricks from Mad Men. Let me know... if not going to post on my local WLS page and give away there.

love the dress. and the shoes (they look like a pair of Cole Haan i have).... not crazy about that belt. Do you have a silver chain belt? Not sure if i would wear this at a high profile meeting. I would lean more to a cute skirt and probably button down shirt... Same shoes would work. Would deff. wear on a date.

    we need a fashion show.....
  14. banded in 2009, lost from 232# to 143#... in March 2017 got the flu... band slipped. No WLS for 2.5+ years.... revised to the sleeve 8/28/19.... lost the 30# i regained and 9ish plus.
  15. My husband knows..... that's it. When i had the band i eventually told everyone. Biggest mistake ever. This time with the sleeve, only my husband. I didn't tell my kids, my family, my friends (none of them), my co workers.... NO ONE. So much better. When people started to notice the WL i just told them the truth.... doing crossfit and portion control. I moved to another state which makes it easier i think. No one except my kids have seen me since SX Aug, 28, 2019 I can promise yall one thing.... you tell one person besides your spouse.... it will get out.... especially if you tell a friend and that friend is a woman.... we love to gossip... and eventually she will get jealous and blabbb... Let me give you the scenario.... Hey sue.. chris sure has lost a lot of weight.... Well, don't say that i said anything... but she has WLS... BAMMMM
  16. I'm just wondering.... why 4 weeks? 1-2 weeks is the "norm". I can say at 100% i didn't cheat... for either WLS (band or sleeve)
  17. My deepest condolences...Sending prayers your way ❤️
  18. us middle aged woman are the best... hehe... 51 and holding... and yes Nancy would make any man "soft"... hehe
  19. Hope i'm not in the "men's" room... don't want to get fussed. brian10x... I'm thinking you're going to be ok... I'm thinking they mean, don't be hanging from the rafters or incorporating whips and chains... just yet. My ex never had sex with me even after the WL the first time with the band..... so it was a non-issue. But it became an issue about a year are two after when my sex drive went through the roof and no one to "help" except myself... hehe.. One of the main reasons he is now my ex... after being married to him for 26 years Now, the second time around... this past aug. and a completely diff. man... I think it was less than two weeks and i had to tie him down and take advantage of him... hehe I say.... whack away my friend.....

I Mississippi you don't have to have a "concealed" permit... anyone can carry with some limitations. But, with the "enhanced" you can carry in more places. You know a money making thing... hehe I love shooting and hunting... Some people frown upon it... but i never shot deer i don't intend to eat..... or say a friend that doesn't hunt wants one... Last year was my "official" first year... you know own gun, complete safety course, etc..... I shot three bullets... shot three deer.... Could have shot a dozen this year... but still have meat from the last.... so all i can do is watch them.... I love getting up and sitting in the stand watching the sun come up or go down.... Everything coming alive.... it's one of my favorite places

So i know this is not outfit related.... but i had to share... Saturday we did our enhanced concealed carry. Sunday went back for some more practice.... Heck yesssss i did great. I got bored shooting in the chest and head... started aiming for corner and shoulder... Tim saw the "crotch" area and said... hmmmm Shooting a Glock 43x 9mm
