  1. I had lost 80 then gained 30 back. Old habits returned, but the bigger reason was that my doc over the last year was able to document that I had a leak. I just had my band removed and replaced. See your doc, but in the interim consider giving yourself a jump start by going on a liquid diet. I was on liquids two weeks pre- and post-op which resulted in 20# of weight loss. That in itself has really motivated me plus it detoxed by body of the sugar and carbs and made me lose the cravings. I have gone to soft foods this week, but staying away from sugar and most carbs. I do feel better.
  2. It might be worth a call to your counselor and ask about a reduced dose temporarily. As for eating, try to eat on a schedule and still take small bites and take time to eat. Stress has always made my band tighter and caused issues.
  3. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Let us know what the doc says.
  4. I am sure that you will take a nap this afternoon. thank goodness for a split schedule! Have a great day!
  5. Way to go! slow and steady is the best way to maintain once you hit goal. Your body grows accustomed to your new size better.

  7. Hi Alex, let your doc and staff take care of you. Hopefully, you will get home today. I see you are another Alabama girl. I am from Jacksonville. Where are you from? gigi
  8. Thanks for the update. Take it easy!
  9. Monie, I think a hill side climb certainly qualifies for two miles!
  10. Welcome home and get your rest and fluids. You are doing great!
  11. Going back on liquids is a good idea. Let us know when the nurse calls you.
  12. Thanks, it has been a beautiful day! I just got in from renewing my driver's license. I changed the weight to my goal weight of 165. Only 41 pounds to go! That is closer to the real weight than the weight that was on the license. I had not changed it since high school.
  13. This is Day 10 and I just walked two miles!!! It feels so good to be building back my endurance! I am off work for the rest of the week and will continue my exercise and napping routine. sleep and exercise (and protein) heal a body good!
  14. lmn, I like the bariatric advantage wild cherry calcium and the bariatric advantage orange or tropical multi vitamin. I also need to take iron supplements which are not included in the BA multi vitamins, so I take the BA chewable iron lemon lime flavor. They actually taste pretty good and I don't have that yucky feeling from taking iron that I got from so many others. Some people don't like the chewable vitamins because they taste chalky to them, but everyone's tastes are different. I have heard of others that stick to the OTC chewables like Flinstones Complete or Centrum Chewables. They just may have to take a higher dose to get the ingredients needed.
  15. Joann, good luck to you too! I'll be thinking about you!
