well the one who was going to do my surgery was Dr. Olsen who I love to death but my insurance was not in network and they could not get a deal cut so back in sept I started with Dr.westmoreland and he will be doing my surgery this monday he charges 16,000 I think I still refer to Dr. Olsen as my doc sometimes he is awesome

my surgery is almost here oh my goodness steph you seem to be do going great beaversman you too awesome pre-op dieting everyone here is awesome

Well I will be banded monday and I have to say I have often wondered myself about the weight gain but my doc said as long as I listened to him and had my band in good working order I will be fine hope this helps

My sis in law had gastric bypass and she has lost 130 lbs or more in less than a yr but now she has started over eating and gaining weight because unlike lapband bypass patients do not usually check in with their docs as much she has no one to answer to so she don't care also I like the fact my insides stay basically the same

i have certain family and friends that are not so happy with the whole surgery thing but this is my body and I will do as I please something I say to them is when you diet and excerise only 4% will keep the weight off forever with the lap-band over 70% will this was on my doctors wall I thought that is a awesome response considering what yo yo dieting does to your body

I went for my pre-op testing today I can not believe surgery is next monday hey all you december bandster that have already had surgery yall hungry yet

I am starting at a bmi of 41 not as low as some but I have heard it is harder the less you have to lose hopefully that is a myth because I need to lose this weight

I will have surgery next Monday. Does anyone have any last wk advice to make me more prepared. I have been reading this site for over 6 months but still not sure I know everything or can remember it all. I do have a question how did everyone feel the first month w/o a fill did you feel restriction or not any at all or a little I am a head hunger girl and I am nervous

I was afraid I will die and all types of things. I will have surgery monday and I stay in touch and help you through this long process or short one food luck please keep in touch we have our whole lives ahead of us let's be skinny

I have yet to be banded and will be next monday but the lady at my support group went through the same thing she even was wanting to commit suicide because of losing her best friend food anyhow the other members and I have really checked up on her and now she feels she has one of us to turn to if she is in need maybe you should try attending a support group where someone can help you

good luck don't let one doctor change your mind attend several seminars I attended two before I found my doctor

I went throught the oh migod I am approved stage and wanted to back out of it but we have to stick through it If our insurance will pay we need it this is my first surgery and I am scared to death I will go under the knife next monday oh mi goodness

i think the little guys need competion such as walmart gives the smaller pharmacy do rip you off sometimes

I have the bwise brand and it is okay I mix in about a tablespoon of sugar free jello pudding and it is awesome

The thing that makes me mad is oh well you should have rny you will lose a lot more weight that is not true in the beginning yes but I will get there slowly i am not even banded yet and people are driving me insane
