  1. Good morning ladies I also had my 3rd fill on yesterday Oct 26th and my dr put .5 in mines also. I'm really sore in the port area I guess he tighten me pretty well.. it's a little bruise there, but I'll be ok. I'm back on full liquids for 5 days.. I will take imalukydog advise and take it really slow.. I pray that you will loosen up soon, try drinking something hot first thing in the morning.. Like hot coca or tea or coffee.. from what I read it on the forum it helps and it helped after my 2nd fill. I hadn't lost any weight between my 2nd fill and 3rd fill, but the dr also advised it might have been from my gallbladder sugery which was on sept 23rd and I might have access water/liquid in my body.. I told him any excuse is better than none... Lol.. thanks doc.. but I know I've been bad eating sweets I shouldn't. Hang in there guys everythign will work out for us.. Keep up the good work.

  2. Thanks for sharing your story.. That's awsome and I can relate to some of your normal things.. This band is truly a blessing to me.. I've had it for 6 months and I feel a 100% better. I have had serval test done since the lap band and like you they are normal.. I'm estatic and so happy for you and everyone who has lapband. It's a life changing event.. Keep up the good work.. this is truly an encouragment..

Keep up the good work.

  4. I have a friend of my who was banded last year in April and she found out about 2 weeks ago that her band had slipped. She was also a self pay and had her surgery done in Mexico. She goes to a local dr here, and after getting a fluroscopy that's how she knew. Her syptoms that she had every day was vomiting, she could only drink protein and soft foods.. when she ate solid foods she was vomiting. I told her months ago when it start happening to go to the dr.. but she didn't. The dr had to remove all the fill from her band and told her to come back in 6 weeks and that the band might fix itself. I don't know how true that is, but I guess she'll see in the next month or so.

  5. Sorry, I haven't had my band replaced just got banded April 15th. But my friend just called today and told me her band had slipped, she had a fluroscopy today and it showed,, this is the kicker she had her surgery in mexcio and see a local provider, I asked her what did the dr say, she said they removed all the liquid and said the band my fix itself.. I've really never heard of that.. But my question to you is how long has it been since you've been banded? What were your symptoms? Her's were vomiting all the time not able to keep solid foods down.. Did you have to pay to get it replaced? Or was it covered since you already had the band. I dont' forsee this happening to me, but I just find it very informational and I can talk to her to inform her. Thanks and I pray the new one works out.

  6. I understand how you feel and where you're coming from. I'm 3 my post op as of July 15th and I've only lost about 25-30 lbs it's goes up and down also.. But just to say I think you're doing great with a 30 lbs lost in 6 weeks... that's good... I had my first fill on june 15th and I haven't feel a bit of difference... I called the dr's office and they can't get my in until august 10th they were book all the way up until sept and they squeezed me in.. Thank U I'm like... I only do protein shakes in the morning and yougurt and had been doing soups for lunch... and eating a normal dinner.. I kind of got discouraged also.. But I must admit over the 4th of July weekend I was bad.... I needed a break from the usual... and then to top it off I went to my Pcp on yesterday and she indicated the weight was coming off slower than she expected.. I'm like oh my goodness I'm really stressing now. but she said she's still proud of me and that good.. I'm like yeah right... Hang in there I know we'll get through this.. Be blessed.

  7. Hi, there when did you have your surgery? How many fills have you had? I've only had 1 fill, and it's been 2 weeks since the fill and I can still eat anything, and don't have much restriction either. I had surgery on April 15th and my first fill was June 15th, I'm schedule to go for my second fill on August 24th, but I might be going earlier if theres still no restriction. From what I hear reading on the site is that is usually takes a couple of weeks for the fill to kick in, so I'm going to see how it does mid July.... Get some exercise in if you're not exercising. .. Be encourage dont' give up..

  8. Hi Eileen, I'm understand how you feel, I had my first fill on monday 15th, and I have been so straving... At least your doctor put you on liquids for 3 days, mine put me on for a week, and I'm about to die.... I have lost 5lbs since Monday, but due to straving...LOL... My doctor told me to come back on August 24th for my next fill, but if I don't feel any restriction once I start eating I'll go back sometime in July,, but with having to be on this liquid diet for a week, I dont know if I want to go back earlier.... Hope everything works out for you.

  9. Good morning everyone, I had my first fill on yesterday, I was scared becasue I didn't know what to expect, it really didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, but it was a little un comfortable, to feel pressure. I was filled with 2.5 cc, I beleive that's what the dr said. If it wasn't 2.5 it was defintely 2. Back on liquids for a week, wow... :(
