i am staying on plan today because ...
Losing, We all have bad days. In my opinion if you think you can give into that carrot caek temptation in a SMALL amount so that you can avoid some of the other crap I would. I have found that if I can do that I am better off than tryin to avoid it forever. Go somewhere and have a small peice of carrot cake.....but do not buy a cake, just a piece! If you try to deny it, it will keep getting worse! Good luck....

Here is the truth about the band
Denise-at one point they thought I had sprung a leak as well. After a refill and a recheck they discovered that during the fill they had lost more than they thought spraying out of the needle when she pulled out! SO It wasn't a leak it was stupid human error, so here is to you finding the same thing as well! Good luck.

Here is the truth about the band
Wow, see this is what LBT is all about. When I first found this thread I went to the end and I was very upset and offended, but now I see it really was a blessing in diguise! I am very glad that you are doing better, and so happy that you found everyone here to help you! Congrats to you and I hope you stay out of the potty (unless you have to go of course!) Thank to all of you who were supportive in this case, when it would have have been easy to attack. I truly appreciate the support I get here as well. BIG GROUP HUG!!

Am I too "tight" ? .... 2nd fill yesterday
Peaches one thing to remember is right after we get a fill we have swelling and it makes us tighter than we are. I have this problem and question every fill, I have found for me if I wait a week and I am stil having problems I do need to have a slight unfill. My Dr does not let me onto a solids for 3 days after a fill then I can progress to mushies again, so maybe that might help you. I was told that it does help with the swelling! Don't suffer though, I tried that once, no good at all! :car: Good luck, and listen to your body it knows best!

Banded co-worker eats McDonald's every day
Ok, so maybe this does sound a bit strange, but I agree. We are not to rule out any food. For me icecream every night would be too much of a temptation, but if it works for him. I agree as long as he isn't skipping meal or pigging out. But one thing we always have to remember is that just because 1 person can do something with their band, doesn't mean that we can! lol... I thought at first I envied him, but to me it sounds too dangerous! :car: As for MCD's I hate it, but do agree if he is just eating scrambled eggs and a sausage patty it is ok. Gross in my opnion but ok!

What a great gift to you! :car: I think it is never easy whenever you get banded we can all think of some holiday that we eat too much at! I was in August so of course there was labor day, halloween the list goes on on on! You deserve to start a new life right away!

ABC - September 2007 chat
WoW! Self pay for 10 pounds?? I would have not had a problem packing those on to get it paid for...lol... I am wondering the same thing. I am doing ok but seem to have done alot better in the past. I think honestly IU do have an extra 15-20 pounds in breast and tummy skin. Most of that being breast...lol.... I ahve seen them get that much before on tv!

HELP! Song question from 80's to early 90's...

Steady losers ;-)
lol Brandi I don't think it is sad at all.... I want a mommy makeover, but don't think I have the $$ for it. My insurance will pay for a skin removal and I have to pay for the tummy tuck part and a breast reduction... SOOO I would be on my own for everything else.

What am I doing wrong?!?
I agree it is WAY too soon ot be declaring a failure. I didn't loose that much my first month, and I am not a looser! You are building the tools to give you a new life, they don't happen overnight. You are doing great! Keep up the good work! 12 pounds a month for 1 year = 144 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See not bad at all girl, keep it up!

Problems?
Hi, welcome to the board! There are lots of people that may have problems with their band, but you have to remember everyone is different. There is a complications thread, that may be a good place for you to start looking. Just remember eveyone is different, so don't get scared if you are looking for bad! lol... MY side effect---I having a hard time keep myself in clothes, I fall out of them so fast!

Is lapband for me?
That is what concerned me as well. But I think if you are REALLY ready you can do it, but I think you need to change your relationship with food. You may want to start that with therapy. It can set your mind in the place it needs to be. Good luck in whatever you choose. I think ultimately you have to decide if you are ready for the band.
