  1. This from the same lady that said by the 22nd dirty bathwater would sound appealing.
  2. LOL ... you're too funny. And here I was sitting watching Bob eat a nice big fresh salad and wishing I could have one too -- I LOVE salads
  3. I have always heard that your smell/taste are connected. That lean dessert must have a strong aftertaste for you to even notice that it has a taste at all. Try the syrups - it totally kicked the aftertaste of the MRM Protein powder I bought.
  4. Well I don't know I just know it works -- the thing is, I have to take it at like 7 for it to kick in my 11 and most times I forget ... I'll remember tonight though because I'm really tired
  5. I've never been in a chat room before but heck, I'm game ...
  6. Smart girl - I never even thought of that. I did buy some liquid vitamins; however Dr. A told me to wait until I'm on solid foods to start back with the vitamins.
  7. Yes, and I can also go to the state medical board -- I'll check that out at work tomorrow as I don't have the link with me here at home ... I'll find someone that sounds good and convincing
  8. I am going to try Tylenol PM tonight - that generally does the trick for me. I need to get some sleep because I am going back to work tomorrow and need to be able to function.
  9. And there is no aftertaste or it doesn't change the taste of what you add it to either? It is GNC's own brand?
  10. I speak very little - not enough to survive on my own that's for sure. I should take lessons as we have a lot of spanish-speaking clients. Luckily, there are 2 attorneys and 2 support staff in our office that are fluent.
  11. Good lord, after taking all of that how do you have any room for anything else? Before the surgery I was taking coq10, flaxseed, EsterC and magnesium (which I DEFINITELY do not need right now). I quit taking them all before surgery; however, I would like to get back on them eventually ... it's good to know that is possible.
  12. I was going to buy some but the smallest package they had was $17 ... I may just order some from Syntrax when I order the nectar since I can't find it here anywhere Why do you have no sense of smell? You can take some of mine as it's become extra sensitive since the surgery.
  13. Sergio was so great! Where was that mall? We didn't venture too far from the Resort but if we go back down, I'd like to explore the town more. Seeing things in Peso makes it look so expensive ... I just generally divide it by 10 to get a USD price; although when I was there, the exchange rate was 12 pesos to 1 USD.
  14. Is it REALLY totally unflavored though? When I was in there, I asked for unflavored why protein that was really unflavored and the guy said "welllllllll, there really isn't such a thing"
  15. WOW Denise you have been through a lot in your life ... I hope all the bad is behind you and nothing but great things in store for you. Do you take any Vitamins?
  16. This was from a bottle. I bought 3 - one grape, one lemon tea, one ice raspberry. The grape was tolerable; however, I poured the tea down the drain and used the other with the raspberry Jello. I didn't think I was all that picky; however, lots of things just taste down right nasty to me and that may be because of the surgery or anesthesia or both or it may just be that I'm pickier than I thought I was because I had more options to choose from.
  17. That's fantastic Tiff - I'm happy for you. I am sure it will be all good news on Monday, too. Appears from her "test" I am dehydrated on my left hand, but not my right ... LOL
  18. Plus the taste of the Jell-O is strong enough it covers up that powdery Protein after taste if that makes sense.
  19. That's a great idea - I'm surprised they aren't advertising/pushing that nmore. I'll have to remember about it to tell others. THANKS!
  20. 90 seems like a small number compared to the over 600 that Dr. Aceves has done ... have you considered Dr. Aceves?
  21. Me too as it has helped clarify things for me and is a great refer-back source. She suggested a book too that I think I may get entitled WLS for Dummies .. she said it had a lot of great recipes in it as well. I'm not a dummy mind you; however, I have been on so many diets throughout my life, they've all just kind of merged into one big blob and I need to figure out the best plan - which I know is the high Protein, low carbs; however, I just want to be sure.
  22. What are those? I haven't heard of those ... we got ours about 18 months ago for a cruise so we just used them.
  23. I'm right there with you ... my fridge and cabinets are full of trial and errors ...and the search goes on ...
  24. Make sense as cold causes restriction and warm causes expansion. I'll remember that trick, too, when I actually get to eat food again :laugh0:
  25. If I find anything I just LOVE .. I'll be sure to let everyone know ... so far, no go though.
