Anyone else ever broken a scale by stepping on it?
Not the dreaded "E". . It might as well have said "get your fat a$$ off me, your hurting me!" That's how it made me feel:( Iam so weary of those chairs too.

Obama...first african american...would you vote for him?????
I won't vote for him because he doesn't line up with my political views, but I think he is trustworthy. No reason so far not to.

Full vs Not Hungry
Have to agree. Eat until satisfied, not until full.

Liquid Vitamins
I f that was my only alternative, I would definately gut it up and take it, but fortunately, I was able to find a substitute

I haven't physically broke any, but I got the dreaded "error" message on my digital scale because I weighed more than it could register.

Liquid Vitamins
My doctor gave me a sample of liquid viamins pre-op (don't remember the brand). I could only stomach a couple of doses. I tried the chewable and they made me gag too. I am taking One a Day now and have no problems getting them down.

For Just Us Guys
Thanks Daniel. I didn't set a new goal, although I would mind loosing a few more just for good measure. I am going to try to maintain between 175 and 180. I am also looking at getting PS next year and I know have at least 10 pounds of skin to be removed. That would put me well within the normal BMI range. My body fat was 19% (down from 54% pre-op) at the gym the other day which is in the normal range as well, so I am happy to maintain.

Goal Met
Thanks Paula. Those are great questions. I don't plan on getting my band loosened. I think I can maintain at this level. I have 7.75 in my VG band. I am taking this step slowly as I don't want to let myself get to the point in thinking I can go back to my old ways now that I have hit my goal. For the moment, I am going to keep doing what I have been doing and I figure my body will stop where it needs to. If that doesn't work, then I will try to eat more. I know I can as I have never had great restriction. The questions you ask are the same ones that have been running through my head as well. I will keep everyone posted

Were you fat as a kid?
No apologies I don't know about the dream thing as I can't remember a dream with me in it. Kinda weird. When I try on clothes. I still see the fat guy. Its really hard to see myself otherwise. When I see pics, I see the real me, but the mirror is a different story. And when I look at my new clothes, I think that I can't fit in those, but I can. Hope that helps. :Banane43:

Were you fat as a kid?
You are so right and I understand what the 3rd lady is going through. I am nomally not a vein person, but I find myself staring at myself in the mirror a lot looking at the new me. One I have never seen before. You mention clothing. I am struggling with that too. I have always worn what I could find and now I have to figure out what style I like and want to wear. Its fun and scary at the same time!

Anti-Semitism In France!
Yes, that was sarcasm, but the fact remains that you are very critical if others make a different interpretation of it than you do. It's easy to say "let the Bible interpret itself". but if that were the case and it was that easy, then why are there so many denominations of Christianity. Many of them I consider to be conservative? While I believe that my interpretation is accurate, I am open to the fact that I could be wrong on some points. I really believe that when I meet my maker, I will find out no denomination is 100% accurate. My feeling from you is that you are absolutely correct and there is no room for the possibility that you could be wrong on some points. Just my 2 cents.

Anti-Semitism In France!
What your really saying is "Either believe in Ron's interpretation of the Bible or your not a good Christian. "

Anti-Semitism In France!
I guess you didn't read my post. Let me copy and paste it here: ["honestly believe (and you can call me a sell-out, that I comprimise my faith, etc, etc, etc) But I beleive they would not interfer as long as it did not put restriction on following their faith. ... Again we go back to God giving us free will. The early Christians , to the best of my knowledge, did not try to get Ceasar to change the laws to make the Roman empire a Christian nation. They only wanted to be allowed to worship as they wanted." I beleive that is a direct answer to the question you asked me. Is it not?

man vs woman
Thanks for the kudos I would say that played a part in my success for sure.

Anti-Semitism In France!
But I am not missing the point. You asked specifically how I thought our predecessors or Jesus would vote and I answered that question and why. How did I miss the point?

Anti-Semitism In France!
I honestly believe (and you can call me a sell-out, that I comprimise my faith, etc, etc, etc) But I beleive they would not interfer as long as it did not put restriction on following their faith. I would vote whole-heatedly against anything or anyone who tried to pass laws that limited my ability to worship God as I felt called to do. Again we go back to God giving us free will. The early Christians , to the best of my knowledge, did not try to get Ceasar to change the laws to make the Roman empire a Christian nation. They only wanted to be allowed to worship as they wanted.

Why am I SOOOO COLD??
Your right about the electric bill I also take long showers and now that I go to the gym 4 or 5 days a week and shower there after a workout, our bills are really coming down! :Banane43:

Thanks Ted! I don't post a great deal, but I do stay up with this board. Its great!!!!

Why am I SOOOO COLD??
As a formally very warm blooded person, I am always cold too. We used to keep the thermostat at 68 or 69 and my wife would always complain it was too cold. Now, I am the cold one and we have it at 74 or 75 all the time. I would be happy to leave it at 78. I think the Texas heat will be much more bearable this year! :Banane43:

I am finally melting!

Were you fat as a kid?
I was always a fat/obese kid. I was more active, but had to special order clothes or have them hemed. "Husky" jeans were my friend I was more active in high school, playing on the school tennis team and played some soccer, but always had to order bigger sized uniforms that anyone else. I am at a weight now that I have never been before, probably since middle school and was several inches shorter them. I am in a medium shirt and can't ever remember wearing that size. Its a fun exploration for sure. Unknown territory for sure.

Anti-Semitism In France!
The sad thing is that I consider myself a conservative Christian and I am still not Christian enough for Ron, so don't feel bad. I am just glad I have to answer to God the Father rather than god Ron.

Goal Met
Thanks everyone! (even the OSU fan!) I am somewhat uncomfortable talking about myself, but I had to share The ironic thing is that I feel like this is the starting place for me. Time to start living a normal life. Thats sounds strange to me, but I think maintaining will be harder than the loosing. I am praying the band will be my guide in this part of my journey as well. Thanks again everyone!
