Anti-Semitism In France!
If it were to get to that point, I would politely tell them that we must agree to disagree and let it drop. I would still be polite to them,

I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I will answer. Hope thats ok. I would welcome the discussion and would not be offended. I would expect nothing less than them trying to convert me if they were true to their beleifs. If you beleive strognly in your faith, I don't see why you would not want everyone to experience the same wonderful experiences you have. I would do the same in return. I have always said that I admire the faith and didication that Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses have. I am opposed to their beleifs, but have great admiration for them. I have told many that I wish people in my own faith could only have that kind of dedication dedication.

Well, crap.
Sorry to hear. The red tape is sometimes unbearable, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for ya that the process speeds up. Keep us updated.

Hi there! You will have a great time! I do sweat a lot less, I am usually downright cold much of the time now. I am actually looking forward to summer for the first time ever!

If we can get the QB position nailed down, I don't see why not. Even with AD gone, we have talent and depth at the RB position and the defense should be solid.

Ron - this is not preaching the word. This is the type of judgemental post I am refering to.

Anti-Semitism In France!
That's a very Ron-like judgemental statement. Count me as ignorant then.

Wheetsin - that is a very fair question My beleif and the way I understand it to be is that judgement is not passed on those who have not reached the age of accountabilty. For some, that means a certain age. For me, I beleive that to mean when you reach an age that you have the capacity to comprehend and either accept or reject Jesus. It would also apply to those with mental handicaps that don't allow then to comprehend. Hope that helps.

I am not disputing that there is some warming, but this has been a very harsh winter for much of the US. I know thats not thinking globaly. I question the magnatude of it and the agenda that many have to promote it like the Al Gores of the world.

Anti-Semitism In France!
The global warming thing puzzles me. I am certainly no scientist, but some observations. From my limited knowledge, the earth has always had global warming and cooling. It seams cyclical. The ice ages and the warming afterwords. Also, it seams funny that watching the weather nightly, more often than not, the record highs for the day are often early on. For example, yesterdays record high for Dallas occurred in 1906. I do think there are knee jerk reactions out there when it comes to the environment. Could we be better, of course, but I think things are overstated.

Thanks! Onward indeed!!!- May Bandsters~February Chat!
Thanks Alicia - I learned my lesson too. Now that I get cold all the time anyway, wearing shorts to a hockey game is not a good idea!!!- May Bandsters~February Chat!
Hi all, sorry I haven't posted here in a while Hope everyone is doing well! I have been doing ok. I hit my goal weight last week and am trying to transition into maintainance. Its hard already. I want to make sure I don't get caught in the trap of eating too much because I hit where I want to be. Marz - So glad your nephew is doing better. Thats great news! Drews - How's the knee doing? Alicia - I haven't thought about our 1 year bandiversary. Can't beleive its coming up so soon, this year has really flown! I need to do something to celebrate for sure. One thing that has been great is my quality of life. My family and I went to a Dallas Stars hockey game and I fit very nicely in the seat. Pre-band, I had to squeeze into the seat and crowded everyone around me. This time I had at least 6 inches between me and the arm of the seat. It was such a great feeling. Here is a pic of us we had taken at the game. I will try to be better about visiting more aften- For Just Us Guys
Great to see another Sooner on board! You are off to a great start and look forward to watching you progress. Just wanted to update as well. I went to a Dallas Stars game yesterday. It was great. Pre-band, I had to squeeze into the seats at sporting events. At the game yesterday, I sat down with no problems and had probably 6 inches or more between me and the arm of the seat. What a great feeling. Here is a pic we had taken. I actually have a jersey, but its a XXL and they run big so you can imagine that I swim in it now that I wear a medium. Time for a new one!- after hitting goal...
Why would I want to give up the one thing that has given me this new life?!? It is meant to stay in for life as a lifelong tool. Only complication would make me want it out.- Today is my one-year bandiversary!
Not to hijack Sunta's post, but being scared is normal. I know had I not taken this step and changed some things for the rest of my life - the rest of my life would not have lasted much longer due to health and obesity. Just food for thought, so to speak. Hang in there- Alcohol?
I am not a big drinker and have avoided beer because of the caronation, but I did have a shot of tequilla when I hit the 100 pounds lost mark and a couple shots of Jeigermeister on New Years. The only thing I need to be carefull of is that because of my infrequent drinking of lower weight, it doesn't take much to get a buzz going- For Just Us Guys
I don't know about the romance part, I was married pre-op and am still doing well there. I do notice more women make eye contact with me. It is a great feeling. I always got the feeling that most women were too disgusted to look at me. I had an instance at the grocery store several weeks ago now. The cashier was making eye contact and smiling and making small talk. As I was leaving, it dawned on me that she was being flirtatious with me. She wasn't necessarily hitting on me, but definitely was flirtatious. That would have never happened before. - Anti-Semitism In France!
