  1. Whos Great Job! You've got to be so proud of yourself. Woo Hoo!!!! You are rocking it. So is there an Ironman in your future??? Hi Bigb.
  2. I'm not riding today. Not til Tuesday. I don't pull Zoe as she's too big, 80 pounds, and too independant to look at the back of my head endlessly. BG, Sorry to hear you were rained out. There will be other rides...and just asking, how many miles have you done this year?
  3. BG is riding her first century as I type. I'm thinking about you Stacy, you're on fire, girl! Me? I'm meeting my local LBT group at the mall in a few hours. It's a beautiful weekend here in Ohio. Zoe has a bit of a cold so we are keeping it low key for a few days. Muddy Buddy is August 3rd, btw. The count down is on............
  4. Ditto to all of the above. Take those pictures, then hide them! You'll be glad you did.
  5. Traci, It's all good. D, That's not a pretty picture...being rubbed raw. Yeah, get a new seat. Yikes.
  6. Using "gay" in a derogatory way is mean. I get that it's commonly used, but it's like saying something is "retarded" which is also commonly used. Think if you had a child born with Down’s syndrome and you heard all the time, "that's retarded". It might make you feel bad or angry or sick. Now, you said something that wasn't running right, that's annoying, that isn't as it should be, is gay. That infers that gay is wrong. I'm guessing you've not made connections between language and the power of language but work with me here a little. Okay, so in your world "gay" can be used for wrong, ugly, dumb whatever. Imagine the little truly gay boy that goes to school with your daughter. His parents aren't open, he hears at school, "gay" in the context described above by all the other kids, he internalizes all that meanness and thinks it applies to himself, like he is wrong, dumb and ugly for something that he has no control over. What might he do? Suicide among gay teens is super high, I'm just saying. Okay, but we are here on LBT. So why does Juli care? Well because it's one on one interaction with people you know that make people change how they think. But if I let comments like "that's so gay" pass without notice nothing will change. You know me well enough to know that I'm a decent person. I work, pay my taxes, love my kid, clean my house, struggle with my weight, I’m gay. I'm not dumb or ugly or wrong. So when I wrote that the site loves other weight loss sites in a way that is harmless to others I was defining what gay means. Being gay means that I love women but my love for another woman is something that is harmless to others. That was about the nicest way for me to point to the fact that you said something I found disturbing with out popping off because at the end of the day, I don't want to hurt your feelings but I want you to know some language isn't okay.
  7. Have one on a Friday, around 5pm and I'll swing by Detroit on my way west...Sometime in September.... Oh heck, I'd make the trip regardless if I were going west or not. You have the purse party and I'll my best to be there.
  8. I love Kate Spade's green bags.... How do I get the hook up?
  9. It's loving other weight loss surgery sites in a way that doesn't harm anyone? Just sayin'.
  10. Sweet going Hungry. Tennis is great exercise! You rock. Congrats on the -50 too. Good to hear your heart is mending.
  11. Jeni, My fingers are crossed for you. J
  12. Congratulations, D!!!!! You are doing fantastic! You should be proud!!!!!!!!!
  13. They'll be entranced by the food court, no doubt. I'll be spending money on those horrible pretzels, but it's the cost of 15 minutes of peace. Again, I don't know how long they will behave, but we'll see. They are both a wee bit hyper.
  14. I got banded for me. My quality of life as I relate to the world around me. For my daughter, to be a healthy role model for her. To show her that active is better than sitting on your behind. I got banded because there is so much out in the world that I want, jobs, money, joy. I was too consumed with my size or blocked by not accomplishing weight loss to see beyond my fat to realize my other dreams and goals. I know that if I can do this there is no limit to anything I set my eyes on. Watch out.
  15. Apparently where ever I go it's a gay lovin' haven. I don't know, but it seemed like I explicitly state my gayness. Whatever. Damn heterosexuals make me crazy.
  16. Well that's some stuff... You know you've got a group of females here to help you navigate the waters with your wife if you want some advice....:wink2:
  17. I'm dragging a friend along, and our daughters. We'll see how long the two of sit while we socialize.
  18. I eat it in small teeny tiny bites. One piece of bread, jelly and peanut butter. 150 calories for not a lot of food, but sometimes PBJs are required.
  19. You might do well to take one area to concentrate on tomorrow, like exercising like you "should' with out worrying about the food. Or control your food with out worrying abou the exercise. Ease back into being 100% perfect. Just a thought. You are not alone, it does kind of swing back and forth, indeed.
  20. ZZ Stay connected kiddo. You'll lose those 15, you will.
  21. PB is like a cat hacking up a hair ball. Sometimes with a good wretch and lots of slime, sometimes not. ick. no doubt.
  22. I pushed mine down in a parking lot when she was little and running from me. There were a bunch of people watching too. I couldn't catch her and I thought that was less damaging than her getting hit by a car, but still it was horrific. Not to equate your child to a dog, but my MIL at the time was visiting my house and her pup got out of my house and I live near a very busy street, we all (a bunch of MO people) spent what seemed like a half hour trying to grab that dog. Good thing is was Christmas morning, very few people out on the road. MIL, just stood there with tears streaming down her face....:tt1:
  23. D, It's about time you had a PB. I miss Stef too.
  24. I nearly passed out trying to buckle a pair of sandels at the store. The worker was like, "Do I need to help you?" with disgust in her voice... Never sitting in a booth, ever. My fat oozing into my neighbor's seat on planes. Being told as I was getting on a ride at the fair that I was too big. Oh the list of humiliation goes on and on............
  25. I fear for children getting ahold of guns in houses and getting hurt more than I care about adults killing each other over things. It makes me sick when you hear tell of a child getting hold of their parents', neighbor's, uncle's gun and in turn kill or hurt another child. It just seems so crazy.
