Adjustments
I've had 4 fills and I'm getting my 5th on Thursday. What size band do you have? I have a 10cc band. Which from what I hear requires more saline. Good luck.

This Website Is Fake!!!
Josette, thanks for this email. I didn't realize it was a fake. Me bad.

Did Anyone test the waters in the beginning but was able to climb back aboard????
Simply put I would go in for a fill. Best of luck.

When will it stop hurting??
You're really early in the healing process. You should feel better in a week or 2. Good luck.

Having Second Thoughts?
I second that. It is well worth it. I love my band. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Still Debating
I made the decision and was banded in June. I've lost about 35 lbs so far. I am considered a slow loser at 1 lb a week. Probably because I haven't given up alcohol. Just know that the band is simply a tool. You can eat around it and if you don't exercise your weight loss is much slower. I do love my band but I have to constantly remind myself of that because it can be frustrating when you don't feel restriction like you should (don't have enough fill) and don't lose. There is the bad point of that and it does happen. If I were to do thing differently I probably would have paid more attention to how much food I was intaking early on. I seem to be up and down on the scale and its not fun. Best of luck to you with your decision.

First Fill Advice: No restriction
Tell him to hang in there. There is another thread on the "fills" thread that talks all about the 10cc band. I have one too. Fortunately I've had pretty good restriction at 3 ccs. I am going in for another fill Thursday. I have seen on the other thread and some people need as much as 8ccs to feel restriction. Tell him to hang in there. It will be worth it when he hits his sweet spot. Good luck.

Poll: How many have acid reflux problems?
Just in the beginning. I used Pepcid AC and it went away. Haven't had it back since about 2 weeks out.

Slow Losers - Unite!
From the sounds of it you may be putting on muscle weight since you are weight training. Have you taken your measurements? That would be a tell tale sign for sure. Good luck.

Slippage prognosis
I don't think it is fair that you judge your weight gain while you have slippage. I would take the road of the band not working properly. You should be fine once your band is corrected. Good luck.

What the Heck!!!
I would definitley suggest a fill. Find out what size band you have. That should displace any concerns. Good luck.

Anyone else extremely nervous???
I was really nervous leading up to surgery. I had to take a pill to calm me down once I made it to the hospital. That is completely normal. I feel great now and I'm happy I did it.

Starting to have regrets
First I would call your doctors office and make sure you can get on an anti nausea medicine. That should really help you. Second, are you taking in enough fluids, especially protein shakes. You may be starving and not able to know this because of you lack of hunger. I would do those 2 things and you should be feeling much better soon. Best of luck to you.

hi- here for support
Nikki, glad you are getting back on track. YOu've done a great job dumping 50 lbs so far. I'm only down 34 since June. I'm a slow loser. Anyway, congrats on paying attention as to what needs to take place!

after almost 6 months eating out is getting easy
Its nice to have a normal life with the band. You did great.

Regained weight, scared, need support :(
It sounds like you have recomitted yourself, that is the first step. I would change your ticker and be truthful with yourself moving forward. You can do this. If you need a fill go get one. You can be back on track today. Keep the faith. You can do this.

Unity
I visit the site every day as well. I am totally into it. I love hearing all the successes, challenges, NSVs, etc. It is life changing and a great support group.

Is it really worth it?
I don't exercise 2 hours a day or follow a commerical diet plan. I eat when hungry and stop when full. The band is wonderful that way. Trust me, you will know when you are full. I don't exercise very much and that is why I'm considered a slow loser at 1 lb per week. I've lost about 35 lbs in 6 months. I am hoping to get to 41 lbs by Valentine's Day. Good luck to you on your journey.
