Adjustments

Hi

I had my lap band procedure done in August. I had the band tightened in November and I feel like I can eat normally again and it hasn't been 2 months. Has anyone else had this experience? On average how many times a year do people get adjusted. I have lost about 48 lbs. since having it done but I am now stuck.:)

Everyone is different. I just had my first fill and it probably wont be my last. Some people have 3, 4, 5 fills before it really works. You might be due for another one. Check with your dr. Great job on the 48 lbs.!

I have had 6 in the prior 8 mos or so. No need to wait for mos to have another... Remember, as you lose weight, the fat around your stomach and under your band shrinks - which means your restriction loosens up.

That's why adjustments are necessary. Some of that 48 lbs came out from under the band.

Get another fill.
