This Website Is Fake!!!

http://lapbandsurgery.us/

First of all why the hell would a person post NAKED pictures of his dead wife to prove any point? Almost all of the pictures are of different women. The one in the halloween costume I've seen before in joke emails. This is a bunch of BS and I hope it doesn't turn anybody away from getting the lapband that truely needs it. I found the link to this on Yahoo! Answers from someone asking if the lapband was safe. Three or four people were directing her to that site so she decided to steer clear of the surgery. Sad...VERY sad!

I'm sorry, that cracked me up. I think it was the big ole nips in the first picture and all of the subsequent naked flesh. What a way to disservice his "wife." HAHAH

I can't believe ppl actually believed that garbage. Who was their doctor, Dr. Nick? What kind of doctor would just ignore his patient's health like that? Give me a break.

I'm guessing an exclusively RNY surgeon created that site. :)

Oh and umm... I can't repost the information, but it's not hard to find out who owns a domain. And from there it's not hard to find that person's contact information. And from there, you can send them your opinions.

But of course, domain queries are to be used only for assistance with registering a domain, never to contact someone, so I would never condone using the information in such bad way. :)

If it wasn't for the purpose of helping others see this site is fake, I would personally hack this site and take it down myself (which if I get bored enough I just may still "enter & visit" and add some "interesting comments" LOL

***Here is how to prove its fake:

First off..I would think that a man that truly loved his late wife wouldn't title her pics as follows:

1._fat_lady_frog.jpg

2.fat-womanytu.jpg

3.fat_wonder_woman.jpg

4.fat_lady5.jpg

***Second off he doesn't know how to cover his,"lame idiotic graphic illiterately challenged dumbass" trail of where he got his sad sad pics

:faint:

I saw the site also, it's SICK SICK SICK.

Kleigh830: GREAT work on uncovering their dumbass and expossing it for it's pathetic worth!

I think it's supposed to be some pathetic person's idea of a joke and regardless of how anyone feels about it WHO on earth would base their decision of whether or not they would get the lapband surgery done from that. I mean really, would someone have to be born yesterday to know that no man who actually loved (or even didn't love) his wife would post such ludacris photos of her. Please!

Sadly, there are always people that will believe things are true even if we see it as ridiculously fake. Sometimes people are looking for negitive reasons to weigh against the positive. If someone sees that site they could aquire fears they don't want to even think of possibly dealing with.

Seriously, if a person was to inform themselves about lap band surgery do you think this nonsense would be their only source. Also, I highly doubt they would develop some strange fears from that. Come on don't give that @**%*^ so much credibility.

What crap!! And people actually believed this was real? These women don't look anything alike!!! good on ya for uncovering the truth on this scam.

Unfortunately yes. As a counselor myself, it's required of me to keep an open mind and accept that all things are possible. Also, having dealt with people that have fears has shown me that fear can make one believe in the most outrages oddities. Some are unconsciously seeking reasons to substantiate their fear and can be completely oblivious to whats real and what isn't.

On the point of, "WHO on earth would base their decision of whether or not they would get the lapband surgery done from that", we could certainly hope no one would, but that wouldn't be correct. Believing that there are no people out there that unambiguously view reality different from us is almost on the same line as believing the site in issue is real. This site could very well be one of many combined reasons that may prevent someone from deciding on their WLS.

Even if it's only one person out the world's population that may use this ridiculous site as part of reasons against WLS... I'm pleased that we're all here to possibly prevent further doubts about the lapband.

He registered the name (lapbandsurgery.us) on July2, 2005, when Lisa weighed (according to him) 250 pounds, so he's been thinking of doing something like this for a while.

I e-mailed the guy and pretended to be "shocked" by what had happened to his wife. I asked him the name of Lisa's surgeon and the hospital where she had the second surgery because, I said, I was considering the Lap Band.

Let's see if he answers me.

Edited to add...

Never mind....the e-mail bounced

I guess we aren't allowed to post his physical address, huh?

How do I find the email? I think this should be reported to the FBI. He's probably a doctor trying to scare people so he can make more money. I fell for it at first.

The e-mail registered with the domain name isn't working.
