  1. You know you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep your chin up.
  2. Get the smoked turkey wings or legs, I use those alot, they have the smokey taste of ham but less fat
  3. I was in the room at the end by the nurses station and I couldnt get reception for my wireless to save myself. Has to be the location.
  4. I can relate to the addiction part of the board, I didnt really think I was addicted until the other day my internet went out for most of the day and it was driving me crazy not to be able to log on. I had to laugh at myself but realized that this is so much of a replacement for eating also, and I have the need to talk about something that is such a huge thing in my life.. Welcome to our sleeve family
  5. I second the chewing thing. I cant wait till I can have something crunchy and has a texture
  6. Keep posting and let us know your progress, you are bound to have more questions. I did. We are here for each other.
  7. I stayed there, its a very nice place and close to Old Town SD so you can walk down the block and see some really great sites. The is even a real haunted house and alot of museums, shops and restaurants. Have fun!
  8. You just took a big step forward to a new life. That takes courage and alot of guts (no pun intended) Good luck and keep us posted on the process, we will give support and answers to alot of your questions

  13. I am like Oregan Daisy, the liquids werent a problem at all, my head told me I was hungry all the time. I was having doubts as to if the Dr did anything at all but as the liquids got thicker, like yogurt and pudding, it was definitely noticeable. Dont worry, its going to work for you. Welcome to the site, we love new sleeve sisters.
  14. Chas, You are a home boy, I grew up in Chester and got one of my degrees from SIU Carbondale. Welcome! I recommend Dr Aceves highly, he is the best, you wont regret it.
  15. No I didnt have a problem getting in my protein at all but then our post op period has been pretty much alike
  16. You still have some time to get in the mood for cooking, by the time you are on solids, Bod will be on clear liquids. You have at least 6 more weeks to get into that mood
  17. Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels, congrats
  18. Congrats on your date, you wont regret it. Take all of the advice you get on this board to heart. We have no other motive but to help you through the process like all of us have helped each other. SLEEVE SISTERS AND BROTHERS UNITE!
  19. Way to go bob, you are going to be a sleeeve brother!!!
  20. I think I remember reading that two, it was in an online article about grelin that I found right after I had my partial gastrectomy, I will try to find it again
  21. I think the average is about 2 - 3 lbs a wk but I am sure it is different from person to person. I am 2 weeks out and have been stuck at the same weight for 5 days and havent done more than 600 to 700 cal a day at best. However, I havent been doing great on the exercise regime either, although I really work toward being more motivated. Ok, that really sucks but I hate exercise with a passion. I am trying to find something that I enjoy doing that will work for the exercise I need. I am hunting for a nature trail this weekend and a biking trail. That should help some. Just plain exercising is soooo boring to me. Maybe someone should dangle a piece of cheese cake in front of my treadmill.
  22. I had my surgery the same day as Vegas Angel and I dont remember any of that either. It was really a good surgical experience and I have had a few. Post op has been a breeze for me.
  23. maybe they were confusing it with the horizontal sleeze talk.com
  24. I am doing fabulouly thanks, I keep wondering if he even did anything to me. Not having even a little problem with the post op diet but Oregan daisy says I will be able to tell when I get to solid foods.. Have a great trip
  25. you are overly picky lol
