I am soooo happy. I called today to check the status and they approved it!! I am so ready. I cant wait until MOnday so I can call the dr. and schedule a surgery date!!! I can't belive this...I have UHC and I was wondering what they were going to do. I am soo happy!:)

Hey there...I am waiting for a response as well. My insurance is also with UHC. My info was sent to them on the 13 and I started calling the 14. I was told today that my info was sent to an RN for approval. I only had a 3 year weight history so I am hoping they accept that. Good lUck!!!

I am in the same boat you are. My information was submitted on the 13th and I started calling on the 14th. I call about 3 times a day. Good Luck!

Hi there, I am know what you mean. I myself have just begun the process with the lap band. I waiting for approval from my insurance. I am going through Dr. Jessie Lopez at KClapband.com. I know a few people that went to him and all I heard is praise. He is very nice, honest and genuine. With him you only need to attend one free seminar which he has once or twice a week. HI there, I am right there with you. I had my seminar on the 6th, appt with surgeon on the 9th and the information was submitted to my insurance on the 13th. Now I am just playing the waiting game. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Good luck on your journey.:biggrin:

Wow, it sounds like you had a great experience. I am waiting to hear back from insurance so that I can get banded too. So, do they not tell you what size band they use until they put it in? Are you gassy?

You are amazing...Your story is inspirational. I am getting the lapband as soon as my insurance approves you. You remind me so much of myself. I cant imagine myself 100lbs lighter. As far as the loose skin, SO WHAAT!! You are amazing, just kick some weights in gear and you will be even better. One issue at a time..You are beautifully wonderful

I am sooo excited. I went to the seminar last week and it confirmed my thoughts to get this done. I have tried everything and I am tired of being fat. I am now waiting for the insurance to approve it. I would love to get banded this month!!!:wink2::laugh:

I am thinking about having it. I will have my consultation next week. My insurance through my job pays ALL of it which is a plus. I am 224 pounds and 5'2. I really want to lose weight for myself and to get preggo . I would just love to hear some of your pros and cons about the surgery. Would you do it again? Would you recommend it?
