  1. Thanks Trisha that sounds a lot like what I'm going through I'm realy trying to cut back my protions even more than before and chew chew....
  2. Thanks Trisha I'm hoping that I don't have to have an unfill I seem very tight maybe it's just that I finally have that restriction we all want and don't know how to handle it. I'll keep you all posted.
  3. I'm at 8.5 cc feeling the most restriction I've felt hope this will last a while and give me a good kick after 4 weeks of no loss..
  4. Yes it is 8 more pounds to my initial goal about 30-40 (this maybe adjusted I was to get at least below 200) more total to lose
  5. As Martha would say Fills "are a good thing"....... Mine has been helping a lot this week now that I'm on strained Soup I can eat the bits but not the liquid...soft foods here I come...that's scary though because trying to get protien and low calorie on soft foods (mashed taters etc) good thing restriction will only let me eat about the 1/4-1/2 cup we are suppose to. I hung on to my 228 this week it's about DANG time it's been a month since I registered any loss. I debated updating my tracker with my secondary goal but decided to wait till I actually got to my first one.
  6. One of my coworkers and he whole family have had a stomach bug I guess there is a lot of it here in Louisville. Take care of yourself hope you feel better soon.
  7. TCB did you look at the plastic surgery part of the board? I haven't looked into it our support group had a PS come and speak but I missed that meeting. I've been getting concerned about my chin instead of having 3 across I now have ripples from my chin to my neck......
  8. Once again no change for me got my fill on Tuesday I hope once I start eating solid food I'll start to lose again.
  9. Welcome ladies as you can see our area is very slow but there are many of us out here. Good luck with your journies.
  10. Sorry I've been MIA for the last couple weeks I've been really down about no change in my weight for what 2-3 weeks. I get a fill on Tuesday I just hope the doc is happy with my progress. We got our floors in what a week that was took a day longer then they said it would and that was working long hours...the installer actually took a box of flooring after the job was complete I talked to the sales person at Lowe's she called him and he came clean about it and took it back so we could get some credit for it.
  11. They paid everything after except my $1,000 max out-of-pocket. The one thing to watch for is out of network providers I had one and it took awhile to get that paid they paid part of it and that provider took that as full payment but I almost had to pay $2,000 for that one.
  12. I weighed in at 230 this week. Guess that's pretty good since I've indulged a bit in holiday treats.
  13. Just one that I didn't do it sooner...... I've struggled with my weight most of my life in the last several years I've been going up and up. My brother died at 43 of aa massive heartattack, all of my dad's brothers dies of heartattacks adn my dad had heart problems but eventually died in a car accident. I had two blockages myself at 42 and almost had open heart surgery so this could have meant life or death for me.
  14. Hope all goes well......
  15. If I don't get back on before your surgery good luck neighbor.
  16. No change for me this week.......ugh... Guess I should be ok with that since treats have been around and I bought a box (small box) of bourbon balls last weekend that I've munched on a bit (1 or 2 a day). Busy week coming materials for new flooring arrived yesterday cleaning out the living room and kitchen to get ready for installation on Monday.
  17. Some of the changes will be easier then you think others not so much. I was always the guy at work that "Had to have a diet coke with my lunch" now not so much. I do struggle with chewing and smaller bites.
  18. My surgeon's office got my approval from insurance on Feb 16th I had my surgery on Apr 10th. I could have had it a week or two earlier but my otherhalf was out of town. After approval I ahd to see oulminary and heart Dr's, have a group orientation specificaly about surgery day and I had to do preop testing at the hospital.
  19. Well to my suprise I was at 231 this evening actually 230.8 but I don't want to be greedy and round down. I to need to get back to exercise. Monday is the last day of my lifting restriction from my gb surgery won't have an excuse after that.
  20. I did have to have 5 years of history and 6 months in the last year (didn't have to be in a row) someone else on the same plan as me same Dr. has to have his in a row. Seems they change/apply the rules randomly.
  21. daniel - it gets slow in here sometimes. I'm not a good one to answer your question since surgery I've been doing some walking but haven't started a major exercise program. I've seen threads on this before somewhere (I thought in the mens room) bit can't find it. I know I'm not a lot of help but didn't want you to feel ignored.
  22. I've lost 56 pounds since surgery 96 total since consultation. I'm doing good my primary care doctor and my surgeon are both happy with my progress. I'm 12 pounds from my first goal I'm setting a secondary goal to get somewhere below 200 after that.
  23. Welcome again Duce! Definately check out the monthly support group for December. My surgery was in April and it's great to be in contact with those that had surgery around the same time as you.
  24. I don't count calories but concentrate on getting my protein and keeping my portions small...it's been working for me, mostly.
