  1. PJTP- Small NSV...I was able to buy very cute, non-plus size undies today (and they fit)! Of course, it just points out that I have completely lost any rear end that I had.
  2. Ha! I don't think you're talking about romance. You're talking about romance.
  3. That is me! I don't read anything educational (unless you count romance as education).
  4. 5 in the morning and the house is quiet. What a perfect time of day. It won't last long, but for now...This is the life.
  5. Who would have ever thought that we would agree. I don't like Larry either. Mark this date down. It may never happen again.
  6. The reason for restriction after surgery with no fill is usually swelling. The doctors manipulate the stomach to get the band in place. As the swelling goes down, your restriction will also go down. Also, as the swelling goes down, your hunger will also come back. It does get better over time.
  7. While on my completely liquid diet, my stools were loose. My doctor actually told me to expect since liquid in = liquid out. I am sure that there are exceptions to that, but in any case be prepared. They wanted to make sure that I didn't think I had some type of stomach bug when it hit. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones that it doesn't happen to.
  8. Fanny, I am so glad that you okay. Accidents are always scary to me. My heart dropped just reading about yours.
  9. He isn't funny to me. I don't know why. Then again, my DH said I don't know what funny is. I love me some Bill Engvall stand-up though. That is what I am watching right now as I get dressed. 15 Degress Off Cool is some funny stuff first thing in the morning.
  10. Hot coffee+LBT=good morning
  11. I don't think I have liked a single movie that he was in.
  12. Please, tell all about the crush. I must live through your tales.
  13. You might check with your doctor to see if they can give you a list of known doctors that take their patients. I wish you the best of luck getting a doctor in the states.
  14. I have to confess that I have eaten 5 oatmeal cookies today. Not all at once, but still... Man I cannot bring those back into the house.
  15. I am glad that you got some relief.
  16. I don't really remember being scared of dogs as a child (I have been told I had at least one dog as a child). I started getting scared of them when I would go visit my MIL with DH. She always had these huge dogs that were taller than me in her little apartment. She wouldn't train them, so they would jump all over me every time I went over. She never tried to get them off of me, instead she would tell me that it was childish of me to be afraid of a "puppy". Puppy my butt! Then when my son was a toddler, she had gotten a new "puppy". It jumped on my son and scratched up his back with its claws. That was it for me. I try not to go near dogs that appear big. I will go near puppies, but don't ask my to pet one. I am sure that I have just built those things up in my mind, but to me the fear is so real.
  17. If you haven't already, you may want to post this in the doctors and hospitals thread found here Doctors and Hospitals - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum . I hope that you are able to find a doctor to help you.
  18. My moment came in a children's museum with my son. I was walking (panting and sweating) with my son. I couldn't keep up. I decided that we would leave, and my son looked so crestfallen. Yet he acted as though he was used to me saying we had to go because I was tired. What kind of life is that for a child?
  19. I have no point of reference. I am scared of most dogs.
  20. I must admit I was thinking the same thing.
  21. I have felt what you are talking about. I only get it when I have slept on my stomach overnight. I wonder if we are just super sensitive to the feeling of the band sitting around the stoma. I don't know. It does just go away once I am up. I just assumed it was just me. Good to know I am not alone. I never asked the doctor's office about it since it didn't hurt and didn't cause me to not be able to eat or drink.
  22. If you get really nervous before you go into surgery, let the nurses know. They will bring you something to relax you. My nurse was so helpful during my experience. They are so great. The surgery itself really isn't half as bad as what people claim.
  23. ROFL!
