Question about liquid diets

I was wondering, as I hope to soon be on a liquid diet, while you are consuming only clear or thin liquids, are your bowel movements pretty liquidy also? I can only assume they would be but would not look forward to that. :tt1: Is that how it is?? Inquiring minds want to know :tt1: Kim

I drink carnation instant Breakfast with 2 percent milk and my Protein Powder. I use five packets of those a day with five cups of milk then i add my Protein powder and put that in a pitcher. I also have broth, jello sf,sf popsicles, decaff coffee or tea, sugar free drink mixes. Those are all on my liquid diet. and Water of course 64 ounces

And I take my Vitamin and my Fiber pill to make sure my bm's are normal

In regards to your question on bowel movements, I mostly have normal ones but 2 times they were loose.

If you have anymore questions let me know

day 6 of my liquid diet

Edited by jewels41

While on my completely liquid diet, my stools were loose. My doctor actually told me to expect since liquid in = liquid out. I am sure that there are exceptions to that, but in any case be prepared. They wanted to make sure that I didn't think I had some type of stomach bug when it hit. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones that it doesn't happen to.
