  1. WTH? I don't like this odd look.
  2. It seems like it is back to normal now. That was awful.
  3. I still have it. It is ugly. I thought it was just my computer at home, but now I am at work and have it here too. Yuck.
  4. The walk was ok. I went to a local park instead of walking my neighborhood. It was really pleasant. I had my headphones on and just zoned out.
  5. Can I play? I have a hate/hate relationship with exercise. I was never an exercise person. I was thin all of my life and stupidly thought I would stay that way. Considering there is no one thin in my family, I should have realized that was a delusion. I get up every day at 5:00 just to get myself and DS ready to be at my job by 7. I haven't exercised consistently since banding. I have an elliptical machine and an exercise bike. I was gungho the first week of having both. Now, not so much. I am going to put on my tennis shoes and go walking now. I haven't walked my neighborhood since before banding. I guess I need you guys to kick my butt. I never even venture into the other fitness threads. Thankfully, this one caught my eye. I have to do this to lose more weight. I know that mentally. Doing it is completely different.
  6. It does, thanks. Of course, the old insecurities have reared their ugly heads. Can I maintain this? Will I be able to lose more? I am trying to talk myself down off the ledge before I jump over into insanity.:smile2: I just have to remind myself that this is my new lifestyle and not a diet. I can do this. We can all do this.
  7. I went through the same thing. I think a lot of people did. It is normal to question yourself before such a major step. This is a major thing, but I would not go back and change a thing. The surgery part was easy. It is the after that takes some work. The band will be there to help. I am healthier than I have been in years. I weigh less now than I have in over a decade. Now, only you can truly decide if this is right for you, but I bet you didn't go into this lightly. You didn't make the decision to get surgery as a lark. You can do this. Your new healthier self will be your reward.
  8. Thank you. That thought never crossed my mind. I just remember when DS was little. We were the same way. We were always together. It was always me that DS turned to. I had to figure out a way to get some *me* time. I think the ideas that you and your mother came up with are great. I leave DS and DH here on most Saturday mornings. I try to stay gone a few hours to just let myself relax and be myself instead of "mommy" and "wife".
  9. If a few day trip is out the question, is there someone you would trust to maybe let DD spend the night with? That is how I would get the much needed breaks. My mom and an aunt would take DS for a night or two just to allow me time to relax.
  10. Kat-I feel like such a dunce. Please forgive me. I misread your post about your SIL. I must have skimmed (I am really bad about that after years of reading too many novels). I am so sorry about your SIL not doing well. I hope that she gets better soon.
  11. Hi everyone. I have wanted to be a part of the onederland club since the start. I am so happy to have finally hit 199! I am so excited.
  12. Wow. It sure is quiet on here tonight. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
  13. We must have stopped getting them at about the same time.
  14. Thank you, thank you, thank you... ha ha ha I have been floating all morning. Of course, cruel reality reared its ugly head. I had to eat breakfast. Is it wrong that I wanted to not eat all day just so that number wouldn't change? Kat-I am sorry that your SIL isn't doing better. G4E-I am glad that you survived the trauma of emergency surgery. That had to be aweful. I am so sure that you will get back to that weight (but lower:wink2:).
  15. I finally did it! I didn't think to take a picture until after I had drank 16 oz of coffee! I won't let that steal my joy! I did it!
  16. Yay for you!
  17. Thank you so much. I can't remember the last time I was this excited.
  18. Thank you! Ok here is a pic. Of course, I have gone back up a few ounces since first thing this a.m.
  19. OMG! OMG! I can't believe it! I should never have said I wasn't going to count my weigh in! I hit ONDERLAND! OMG! I am crying! I haven't seen 1 anything on the freaking scale in 10 years! I didn't update my ticker. I want to so badly, but I know that I will cross back over 200 by Monday, but my goodness! I actually saw it on the scale! I re-weighed 8 times just to see it again!
  20. That is a great idea! I think I may not count it until then. I will have gained it back by then anyway. I should be back on solids by then (I think). I am trying to take it slow with this fill.
  21. Noted. I didn't update my ticker, but I did put it on the program I am using on my iPhone. According to it, my allowable calorie intake went down with it. hmph:glare:
  22. PJTP-Do you count your weight loss during the days following a fill when you are on liquids?
  23. I log on, but it is so hard to log on enough to keep up. I would NEVER get anything done (as if I do anyway:rolleyes:)
  24. I love peace and quiet. That is what I have right now. I have been drinking on a low carb slim-fast for over an hour and still haven't finished it. I really wasn't even hungry to begin with but knew I needed fuel. Is this what restriction is about? I am so glad that I don't know the perfume (or stink spray) that you all are talking about. I really hate loud perfume. There is a lady that works with me that leaves her smell behind for at least 20 minutes. If I can smell you well after you are gone, it is too much.
